My wife and I are currently seperated due to a false domestic violence suit filed against me. I’m confident that I will have the charges dropped but after the criminal case is over I would like a divorce in which I obtain joint custody with the children living with me. I currently feel that it is the most realistic expectation. My wife had spent a majority of time with the children because she was not working. She had moved from job to job throughout the entire time she was down here. She is also not native to Florida and is not capable of supporting the children financially. She is not a drug addict or alcoholic, but she is irresponsible. I can provide a better environment for the children to live in but what are the chances of me recieving joint custody in a contested despute?
I am 40yrs old and this man (if you will, lol) is 60….(yes , sixty!) I work w/him AND his wife and a couple of times he has thought up nicknames for me…..(I am sure you can imagine) Yeah , ok , I am a little chubby ….but why would he give a care (heh hem) about my body? Seems WEIRD. O yeah , I think he has an eating disorder , he likes to eat nothing , and I mean , NOTHING…… but energy bars…… and his wife tells me how he binges out on the weekends on ice cream! LOL!
my wife gain weight very easy, but lately it’s noticeable…and she complained of body ache, headache, tiredness…somebody told her she has body intoxicated ! and after reading some article (from a magazine) everything described in it match her condition,is it right?and where should my wife(or who) go for help?
I was reading an article, and I found it really sad. A man marries his wife when she was over weight. They have 3 kids back to back, and she gains even more weight. He says he use to LOVE her at her heaviest and didn’t want her to lose any weight. She’s so heavy that she now has high blood pressure, and becomes diabetic. Well she decides to take matters into her own hands, and loses 200 lbs with a strict diet, exercise, and herbs to detox the body. She then has a tummy tuck and a breast reduction (against her spouses wishes). After the weight loss men notice how attractive his wife is. He becomes jealous and insecure. After a very nasty argument he tells his wife he didn’t love her anymore, because she was no longer “fat enough for him”. He moves out and files for divorce.
My question: Would you risk your health to keep someone like that husband happy?
I know I wouldn’t. What’s your opinion?
My wife has gained 20 pounds with each child (we have 3) and hasn’t lost any of the weight. She used to be 140 and now is over 200 pounds. On the other hand I was 240 when married and am now a healthy 185lbs.
I’ve tried to go on a diet with her (how I lost my weight) and offered to exercise with her but she insists she doesn’t have the will power I do. Or she tells me it’s just easier for men to lose weight. She will only stay on a diet for a week or less.Even worse she binges before going on a diet because she wants to get her last goodies in.
I never thought I would be so shallow, but how she looks bothers me. How can you stay with someone who refuses to change? How do you stay with someone who you aren’t attracted to anymore?
I have 3 young kids so divorce is not an option I want to consider.
Advice?
The husband of my best friend is an alcoholic. Lately he has lost weight and is starting to look older and rather unhealthy. He was always good-looking and well-built. Both his parents are diabetic, so we have been trying to get him to see a doctor for a check-up. Like all alcoholics, he is in denial, and although he is worried about his weight loss and apprearance, he blames other factors, and even his wife, for his weight loss. Is it likely that his problem is the result of his alcoholism? Maybr he doesn’t have diabetes, but my friend is worried that his drinking is having disastrous effects on his health. What can be done to convince him to see and doctor and to get help for his drinking?

WEIGHT TRAINING: THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
4. If you need to play, play with something else and not with the weights.Forget about the pink stories with 5kg dumbbells. You need to tax your muscular system decently if you want to elicit desirable results.
If you are afraid that you will bulk up, relax!I can guarantee that you will not if you are drug and dubious supplement-free.And this is especially valid for female weight trainers!
5. Beware of overtraining!
I am seized by great melancholy when I see so many fitness enthusiasts paying the heavy price tag carried by overtraining.
So much effort, persistence and sweat in vain!
They just follow their instinct only to get betrayed.
Ovetraining will cannibalize your hard efforts together with your muscle tissue.
All you fervent admirers of the Iron God,take care!
6. Do not neglect symmetry issues or do it at an unbearable cost.
Especially do not neglect your lower body.
Train all your muscle evenly .This will protect you from serious, both aesthetical and functional problems.
Do not show preferential treatment to any part of your body!
7. Do not indulge only in weights!
Try to vary your exercise menu.
Showing prejudice in one field will harm you.
Include some cardio activity in your program, preferably anaerobic interval training which will respect your muscles and additionally boost yor metabolism.
8. Include static stretching in your routine and after your workouts. For many people it seems like an unnecessary luxury but as they get older they will be thankful for their prudence.
9.Take care of your nutrition which should be supportive of your training plans and not undermine them.
If you need some solid knovledge on the matter of supportive nutrition take a look at:

10. ‘You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.’

Listen to what the pundits say, read from reliable sources BUT pass everything through your own filters and adjust it to your own needs.

1. You have to use a plan–even an elementary one–for your weight training routines. Otherwise you will be like a blind in a dark tunnel! If you don’t have a plan then all the routes are the same.
What is your main objective?
- Muscle mass maintenance?
- Muscle hypertrophy?
- Strength or endurance,etc?
You will need different approaches to fulfil each one of them!
So,what is your plan?
2.Keep weight training among your most important priorities until the end!
You will be lavishly rewarded for your persistence.
No other form of training can have a more profound impact on your fitness level, health and quality of life, especially as the years pass!
3. Details are good but you had better stick to the basics, especially if you are an amateur weight trainer:
- Perform not more than 2-3 workouts per week. Keep them short–20 to 30 minutes each– but really intense. Use a high training volume.
- Use mainly compound exercises and avoid isolation ones. There is a bigger interest for this kind of your time investment. Isolation exercises are like keeping your money in the safe!
- Leave split workouts for the experienced bodybuilders and go for total body workouts.
- Use progressive overload and aim for a continual progress or else you are certain to retreat!
- Give priority to an impeccable style over bigger and bigger weights. Remember:showing off is harmful!
-Try to avoid possible plateaus by varying your routines every now and then.
- Avoid any kind of supplements. Don’t force your results! There are imminent dangers that you cannot even think of! Be patient and results will follow.
All that said, with some self-motivation you can have outstanding results by training at home( gym is optional!)
