1)Is it the society they live in?
2)The family they grow up with?
3)The religion they were taught?
4)The circumstances they were forced to live in?

In what ways do these factors influence them?
For instance,Islamic extremist only exist in certain Muslim countries particularly Iraq and Afghanistan not Brunei or Turkey or any other most Muslim countries. It contaminated Islam. If you read the Quran,it doesn’t encourage terrorism

And teenagers they plummeted into drugs and alcoholism mainly because of peer influence, they might not necessarily come from a family that teaches those stuffs.

And what about the Christian sex culture in America where most of the women ‘tricked’ into such culture through ‘religious leaders’ ‘dropped out’ of the religion because they were fooled.Christianity definitely don’t teach the ‘sharing of husbands and wives’

So sometimes,it’s not the religion or the family they were brought up in that influenced what they believe in.It’s something else.

I”m a recovering alcoholic and and have no social life anymore. I can’t seem to make any friends at all in AA, and I don’t think I will ever get over my ex-girlfriend unless I start dating someone else.

I’ve tried MATCH.COM and another site, but I always get the same answer, sometimes immediately. Either women:

1. Just don’t want to date anyone that’s a recovering addict/alcoholic.

2. Don’t want to date anyone that doesn’t drink.

I was just hoping someone could tell me why?

I’m 45, single, live alone and a pretty nice guy. Women in recovery generally don’t date men in recovery. I don’t think i’ll ever find a wife.

It’s been a few years now, and I find myself so lonely that I think of suicide alot.

My question is, since I can’t seem to meet anyone by telling the truth, should I just lie about my alcoholism?

Married for 10+ years. Spouse developed alcoholism, quit regular job, & for the last couple of years, spends most of his day either sleeping, or drinking at the computer in chat rooms (mostly with gay priests) & generally has been unsupportive of me (emotionally, financially, physically, sexually). I’ve asked in the past for him to seek help for his drinking, & told him of my needs/desires, & mostly he changes for a couple weeks, & then slides back after he feels the heat is off. I’m tired of this. He claims he loves me, but I think he loves having a wife paying 85% of the bills, keeping house, providing health insurance, etc. I told him 1 month ago that’s it, & he wants yet another chance, & for the month, he’s stopped drinking & picking up after himself. I told him I can’t say I love him anymore, & I don’t want a marriage of convenience. He wants to keep trying, but I feel I don’t want to try anymore – I’ve been jerked around enough. How many chances is “fair”?

The Bible teaches that children are to honour their parents, but what if the father is an alcoholic and he deserts the wife and children? Should they still honour him?

White males have some of the highest rates of divorce, alcoholism, and out of wedlock children(Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland, France, etc) lead in Europe with this. IS it bigoted to not get romantically involved with white men b/c of this? If many of them are great, why are 50% or more of them divorced from their first or even second wives to begin with? Surely, it can’t be the woman’s fault all the time, can it?

My ex wife has a court date on 6/4 for probation violation for a o v i .She has been drinking worse than when she was caught and has stayed with six different people since it happend she does not see the kids or call them .When she found out that she had a court date she went into rehab to dry up for court. This is her fourth time in rehab in twelve months ,every time she gets in trouble she goes in to look like she is trying to sober up but it is all a show . She recieved her o v i in Morrow county and lives in Cuyahoga. She has never been tested for alcohol the year that she has been on on probation and has a year left . Does anyone know what i can do to get the court to start testing her ? She has no fear of getting caught . When she was caught she had my daughter and niece in her van and blew a 3.1but got off on the child endangering charge. I would like to see her get help so my children can have a relationship with her again even if it means her going to jail to dry up.

She has trouble walking up stairs, getting up from a chair, and getting started walking after standing up.
I first noticed her problem 2.5 yrs. ago. She practically had to crawl upstairs. The 18 mos. ago she broke her rt. shoulder requiring metal socket replacement operation. Her strength and balance got worse. She stopped phy. therapy because it hurt. The she was diagnosed with diabetes 2. All of this has piled on 12 prescription pills known by our family doctor. Can a WebMD medical specialist help us, please?
Here’s the drugs she’s taking: Lotrel, Toprol, Farosemide, Aromasin, Starlix, Temazepan, Lexapro, Fosamax, Allopurinol, Levothyroxine, Baby Asprin, Neurotin

My best friend is 9 weeks pregnant and just found out her husband was using anabolic steroids when he got her pregnant. Can this cause problems and if so what?
She did ask her doc who said that it does not affect the baby, however I remembered reading an article last year that said new studies had showed a potential risk for childhood leukemia. I didn’t tell her that however, not until I researched it more.
