The question isnt should i leave him…because I know that is an option. I have tried. it has not yet come to that, so my question is more for the meth user. or someone who has recovered from this…what are the chances od a recovery? My boyfriend is divorced from his ex wife has 4 beautiful children. This man is very spiritual believes in God, he has the intentions to stop using but struggles and uses. when he uses he binges leaving for weeks and lately months at a time straying from me his now girlfriend. I do love him dearly and wish for him to be well. He is such a great man when he stays away from meth. I know i can leave him. but should i? this man is my best friend. should i just give up on someone even tho they want to get out of this addiction…he has no more family support, just me. he has no job no food to eat. he does still have a roof over his head and a car FOR NOW…but my questions are where does one like this go for help, if he is willing…what does rehab do? or is it just a waste of money. i realize that he needs to help himself but what are the steps I should take if i choose to help him…i know standing back and letting him fall is an option. but is there possible another way…?

from the family acts cause he aint man enough to raise his children.he left his children with his heroin addict wife and when he first left she had got in an accident with a at the time 4month old in the car,this was at 7 in the morning on a heroin mission with 200 stolen dollars and the car she smashed in to was parked.what a lady huh!she got out of the car and ran leaving her 4 month old in the car with the other dope fiend that was taking her to the dealer,the boyfriend of the girl the money was stole from wich is also her sister.that day i went to soc services.my nephew had been with me and my wife for months on and off since birth,it is me who he is attached to and wants to live with.over this time we have formed a bond,and now he has been with us fully for about 5 months.well,with the 4 month old we couldnt take him.me and my wife are on a tight budget and are not use to having kids just like wham in your face like that.at the time she said she was cheating and she told my brother in law that the 4month old wasnt his,so we just went our seperate ways with the 4month old.the brother came back on weekend leave a month later and they fought and before he left the a -hole had the nerve to just tell me do what you got to do.the.next day she was trying to leave state with my nephew the 3yr old and the 4 month old,my baby,the boy i raised since birth that looks up to me like he needs no other friend on this earth.the crazy heroin addict mom went to the authorities accusing us of kidnap to get him home.even though 4 weeks earlier she thanked us and had us over for dinner because she said it was so hard for her and she appreciated how we were taking in the 3yr old wile the crappy dad was in the army,she said she couldnt handle them both.welll wile she was calling the cops i was at the real deal serious soc services and they agreed to come to my home take the case over give me and my wife custody of my 3yr old nephew and serve her and also take her 4month old in to custody and put him in care.the detectives were there when i was home,i called the women,they said theyd come right away,and were there in 5mns with papers and the dectetives proceeded to be very nice and left to her home to reverse her call and take her into custody for neglect also.this is where we need the help and hope for answers.the dad took the praternity test before he left and the next week it came back the 4 month old was his.me and my wife were hurt inside that the other child was in another persons care,but i hope there are people out here that will understand that these people have a family,me and my wife have made huge sacrifices to take in our 3yr old nephew and just cant hanlde a baby,and there are reasons i will get in to.a few.months went
