I have been married to a man for 8 years. The rouphest years of my life! He had a terrible drug habbit which lead to other problems, from being verbally and physically abusive to stealing, you name it. On several ocassions I have had to call the police and have him arrested. I have thrown him our of my house and we have also put this man through several drug rehabs. Needless to say nothing had worked. He had tried getting back together with me but I finally had to put my foot down and say when you get a job, and you stay clean and I don’t have to support you then maybe ill think about it. He moved out of town to his parents home, which they have never liked me. They come from a very old fashioned traditional Mexican family who can’t accept me because I have children from a previous marriage. We have plans on getting back together since he has found a job and is going to start a vocational training, Only problem is he doesn’t want to move back into town because he says he will go back to his old ways. The kids and I are willing to move out of town once he is settled. The problem is… His parents dispice me. We went to visit him and we had to stay in a hotel because I wasnt allowed in his parents home and neither were my children. They had something for easter where the whole family was invited and our daughter was welcome as well as my husband. my childrend and I were never invited. My daughter also spent spring vacation with her dad and grandparents, my husband was working and my inlaws were babysitting while my husband was at work, yet when I was up there visiting she did not want to babysit so that we could go out. I don’t understand? My husband asked if he could have my daughter for the summer and when I asked who was going to watch my daughter while he was working and in training he said his parents would. So if they did not want to watch her for that one night that we wanted to go out, (they didnt have plans ) what makes me think they will want to watch her for the summer. I’ve mentioned to him that it bothers me that they exclude us and he just blushes me off. The three days that I was up there visiting his mother was calling him constantly.. He mentioned to his mother that he had plans on us getting back together again and she said that his sisters would not accept this. Im sorry my mom passed when I was very young and I have no siblings. Is this the way it’s supposed to be? Am I overexagerating or is it time for me to walk away? Can Somebody help?

My wife has two little boys by her previous husband.There father is good to them but he wishes to keep drugs in his life. My wife supported him throughout their marriage and she has for the most part since we have been together. She has participated in his rehab classes, she has given him cash to put gas in his car to come see the kids, even went and picked him up and allowed him to stay in the house to dry out for 3 days. I have objected to all of this and yet the response is that i need to do” whats best for the boys”. Where do I draw the line?

I really like this 1 guy who I’ve known for a year now. I know he likes me and we even fooled around. Problem is…he is married, I have a boyfriend of 8 years, and the BF only just started becoming responsible. My BF has put me through hell and the resentment is still there. He hasn’t been able to keep a job for more than 6 months, had a drinking problem, pill problem, and we would always fight, sometimes physical. He once left my son 3 at that time home sleeping to drive down the block for more alcohol and hit a tree and got a DWI. But recently, he has not done the pills, only drinks occasionally on the weekends, and has been working for 4 months and has been helping around the house a lot more. But this new guy is leaving his wife b/c she cheated on him and he is such a nice, responsible guy…treated her like gold….I saw it for myself…was friends with them both. I would like to be treated like that and she was such a bitch to him. Anyway what should I do?

I believe our last lovemaking session — if you could call it that — was Wednesday or so. It mostly consisted of her barking commands and me going along like a robot, as usual. In any case, I am planning to have a deep and meaningful conversation with my wife very soon about some indiscretions of hers that I have been made aware of, and was wondering if there is a set time one should have between lovemaking, and, if it comes to this, asking for a separation.

I’m not leaving my wife high and dry. She earns an excellent income and has the services of our au pair, Krystka. The separation shouldn’t be a major ordeal for me. I own a small cottage next door, and the kids and even Krystka could pop by whenever my wife is her oftentimes belligerent (or drunk) self. While my cottage is old and has water issues and just an old B&W TV that gets 2.5 channels, it’s fine by my bohemian standards. I have funds.

I hope it doesn’t come to this, but can one ask for separation if he/she just had sex?

This disagreement is about our 20 year old son.He has been going out on and off with this girl to say the least she is a loon. She is depressed a Cocaine addict and Ecstasy addict.My son started to date her two years ago when she was 16 and her found out she was using drugs and she said she would quit, but of course she did not. They breakup due to her drug behavior like she cheats on him at a drug party and in a few months she gets into trouble and lonely because she either screwed up her current relationship or her friends had enough of her.They got back together in the end of september and it lasted until the beginning of december. When she was at my house i noticed she lost a lost of weight and she was shaking lot. My sons friends had to leave because she had an anxiety attack. This girl acted paranoid all the time and his friends told me she was having nose bleeds. Here is the disagreement between me and my wife,she thinks again in time this girl will want him back and this whole crazy cycle will start again. I think this girl has been addicted to coke and Ecstasy since she was 16 now she is just 18 and having nosebleeds lose of weight and acting paranoid. i believe that this girl does not have long to be on this Earth and not to be mean problem solved. my wife says i am wrong… am I ?
