First, busted for buying stuff to make meth, then admits addicted to it. Had my 3yo with her when busted. Got her out of jail, and then second whammy, she said she don’t want to be with me. Fine, Filing for divorce. NOW, she wants to work things out. I am not sure what to do.
Other facts: We have 2 kids with each other and 6 total. (all mine)
Her rights paternal rights where suspended when she was arrested, however, they
DCS, are holding off doing anything till after her court to see where they are proceeding.
She had started talking to other guys online threw some cheater site called
myfacebook. And YES it is a cheaters site, all you see on there is cheaters and
scum (ANYONE who would go for a married person is scum) BUT says she wont talk
to them anymore. (key logger on all computers now)(she agreed to it)(i also have
access to cell phone records online to see if she is texting them, and she knows)
Ex wife is now living here helping somewhat, but idk, all good for now, but feel like i am
sitting on the bow of the Titanic.
**She has told me she was diagnosed before with ADHD and BiPolar. but not on meds.
My wife agrees that we need marriage counseling, and she needs drug counseling.
Is there HOPE?? anyone out there been in this situation before?
My main concern is the kids. (I have custody during this due to state, and would retain them if we divorce so its not a kids thing) and keeping their life somewhat stable.
Let’s face it. I was a lousy parent. Step parent to be exact. When my wife and I got married, she had a daughter that was 5 years old. I tried to be a parent, but I guess the connection was never there. Her real Father was not in her life and I think she resented him over it. I wasn’t much better. I spent a better part of her child hood hooked on meth and binge drinking. I always managed to hold down a job and support my family. But I was young and not prepared to be a parent. I never had any children of my own.
My step daughter gave birth to a baby boy 5 years ago. The moment I held him he became mine. I have never been able to separate myself from him. Thankfully my daughter lives just 2 streets over so I get to see him all I want. Yet, when I am apart from him I get really depressed. I think now I know what it is like to be a parent because I have now been around a child since it was born. His Father is not in his life so I am the next closest thing. I can not begin to tell you how much this child has changed my life. People tell me I am not the same person anymore. I have done a radical change for the better.
Is it possible to become so attached to a child that you can become terribly depressed to be apart from them? Is it possible to be so attached to a child that they change your life forever?
my wife caught me cheating on her. after work one night my son invited me to his fraternity party at the university of alabama. i began drinking and talking to this one cute girl. i got a little intoxicated and slept with this girl. By the end of the weekend, we were getting very close and thought we were ready for commitment. she is very hot, much hotter than my wife, so what do i do?

My boyfriend’s ex-wife is leaving for Boot Camp next month. She tried to kill herself two years ago (2008) , wrote out a suicide not and had to be rushed to the hospital to get her stomach pumped. I havev known this man for half my life, so this is why I know the history. Anyway, she harassed me on several occasions when she was married to my boyfriend and he was in the military.
She physically abused him while they were married on several occasions and woul call the military police-no records exist. In 2006, she concealed an entire pregnancy while living on base on got no prenatal health care, physically exerted herself in hopes of a miscarriage and binge-drank alcohol on multiple occasions during the latter half of the pregnancy. What is strange is that her first pregnancy was a C-Section, and following that she had an abortion. These two circumstances make it all the more strange that she hid the pregnancy. She told nobody including her identical twin with whom she is close and lived with during the first half of her pregnancy that she was pregnant. I saw her when she was 71/2 months-she just appeared “fat” like she did with her first pregnancy-this isn’t just heresay. Some time following the surprise birth-again nobody knew she was pregnant until going into labor-at some point she was prescribed Prozac. When she was on her meds she did not abuse her spouse or harass me. After a while though she refused to take it. The military grants waivers for depression meds(which takes time), but she was processed so fast that I don’t believe the suicide attempt or the prescription meds were ever addressed. As well, she does other unsettling erratic things. A cursory glance at her Facebook suggests she is joining the military for attention from Army men and her ex-husband. She is neglectful of the children, appears largely disinterested and not bonded but uses them to manipulate her ex-husband. I am hard-pressed to believe she revealed any suicidal history or depression to the MEPS. She isn’t a very nice person, she is an alcoholic, but even so, her children don’t deserve to have a dead mother. If her civilian life made her put her own life at risk, certainly military life would add pressure. Again, I doubt these things were revealed to MEPS.

Officials say locals swamped by illegals
Most at hearing say feds ignore immigration
By Tim Whitmire
Associated Press
Gastonia | A federal effort to enlist local law enforcement officers to help identify and deport criminal illegal immigrants is a mere stopgap in the face of a much bigger problem, officials told a congressional panel Friday.
“I and many others strongly disagree with President Bush’s policy, or lack of, on illegal immigration,” Mecklenburg County Sheriff Jim Pendergraph told four House members at a hearing on empowering local law enforcement to combat illegal immigration.
“The Congress of the United States has let us down by the lack of action on the illegal immigration issue for decades,” Pendergraph told the panel that included North Carolina Republican Reps. Virginia Foxx, Patrick McHenry and Sue Myrick.
Rep. Mark Souder, R-Ind., chairman of the subcommittee of the House Committee on Government Reform, also attended the hearing at Myrick’s Gastonia office.
Pendergraph’s department last winter signed a memorandum of understanding with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The agreement allowed 12 deputies to be trained to screen the immigration status of people arrested in Mecklenburg, home to North Carolina’s largest city, Charlotte.
The 287(g) program, as it is known, gives local officers access to ICE’s database of fingerprints and photographs, which Pendergraph and others say is the only reliable way to identify the immigration status of an arrested person.
Since screening began May 1, Pendergraph said, his department has found that most of the immigrants who pass through his jail are here illegally.
“So many illegal immigrant criminals have been identified through my 287(g) program, it is causing me a jail space problem,” Pendergraph said.
Pendergraph’s department is one of only seven departments in five states with such agreements and access to ICE’s database.
Gaston County Sheriff Alan Cloninger told the panel his department received approval Thursday to join the program, but Pendergraph said many other law enforcement leaders who have tried repeatedly to participate in it tell him they have been turned down or ignored.
An estimated 405,000 illegal immigrants live in North Carolina, McHenry said.
Michael Lands, district attorney for Gaston County, said the federal government doesn’t have enough agents to handle an illegal immigrant population of that size.
“Ultimately, and I mean no disrespect, this is a federal government problem that you need to address,” he told the panel.
The government’s approach to illegal immigrants, Lands said, has been “to wait until they commit a state crime and then determine if it’s serious enough to deport them.”
Souder responded that federal, state and local governments will have to cooperate to improve the system.
“Somehow we’ve got to figure out how to do this together,” he said.
The mother of a Gaston County teacher who died in a July 2005 hit-and-run crash in Brunswick County caused by an illegal immigrant pleaded with the panel for a solution.
Scott Gardner was on vacation with his family when their car was struck by a truck driven by Ramiro Gallegos, who was intoxicated and had a history of drunken driving arrests.
Wife Tina Gardner remains in a vegetative state at a nursing home, her mother-in-law Emily Moose said Friday. The couple’s two young children are effectively orphaned.
“I believe the cost of human life is too high to pay for cheap labor,” Moose said, near tears.
Gallegos was sentenced earlier this year to 14 to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree murder.
“If you break the law to get here, you’re not going to respect the law once you’re here,” McHenry said.
That comment, plus a statement by Moose that “millions” of lives have been lost to illegal immigration and a complaint by Foxx that the media obsesses about the number of U.S. deaths in Iraq while saying little “about the people being killed by illegal immigrants every day,” appeared to motivate Lands to interject.
“I think it needs to be said – and you all know – illegals aren’t the only ones out there committing crime,” he said. “There’s plenty of crime by American-born citizens.”

Gotta do some housework now!
My wife of 12 years came clean and said she was cheating. After a long discussion she said it was over with the other guy and wanted to work out our marriage. I left for work and she was going to catch up on some sleep. I’m not a total idiot and decided to show up at the guy’s house to see if she was there. She was. Told her not to waste her time coming home. We have 3 kids that I will fight to the end to keep. I suspect drugs were involved with my wife and now she wants to try again. I have to say I still love her very much but am I stupid to even consider giving her a second chance? I know it’s hard to give advice with such limited info but anyone’s thoughts would help. At the very least does anyone know how to get someone rehab help if they are an adult? All the people I have talked to say she could just check herself back out.
I have a married friend who has been with her husband nearly 20 years. She and her husband both hold professional positions. They seem to have the perfect marriage, perfect children and the perfect life—plus, well off financially and everything like that. But I found out recently that is not so true. She has been letting things slip about out at work about her marriage. She and I are both engineers and work in a very small firm. (She and her husband have been together since they were 18 and met in college). Several other people (including myself) have heard her discuss her husband’s love of amateur college porn, strip clubs, and weekend binge drinking with his rowdy friends. She also said that these problems had been going on for a while and that he rarely wants sex with her, but he has a very large porno collection (movies, magazines, etc). Her husband will also tell her that he is tired and that he would prefer if she would do “other stuff” for him. Her husband is overweight and so is she—but he still prefers amateur porn with college girls. I cannot believe that she is letting these details of her personal life out at work—especially because her husband frequently drops by at work to visit her and everyone knows him! She admitted that her husband would be upset with her if he knew about the things that she told people at work about their marriage.
I am just wondering why someone would do something like that? Personally, I wouldn’t talk about my marriage at work—no matter how many problems I was having. He is still her husband and she is betraying their marital trust by involving outsiders, instead of a meeting up with a marriage therapist! I am not defending him or her in this instance. I personally think that her husband is still acting out on his bachelor days gone by and is obviously NOT attracted to her sexually anymore. Why would he rather watch amateur college girls and not have sex with his own wife? I personally think he is probably two seconds away from cheating on her—if he already hasn’t done so. As for her, she really needs to seek therapy herself or get out of the marriage. Bring up their problems at work is really showing a lack of respect towards herself and their (obviously shaky) marriage. I just really feel bad for their 3 children.
I am just really tired of hearing her talk about this and can’t really vent too many people. Don’t be afraid to leave some honest feedback on this subject. Thanks!
If you are looking for a clean and Christian alternative to the hedonistic R&S prom, you should consider attending our party tonight at my church.
A lot of you have expressed a desire to meet my 8 year old daughter Mirela. The amazing thing is that most women on this board will actually learn something from HER!
Also, my beautiful weaker half Nermina will be there as well. She is in charge of making the goodies, and I think you will find her baking delicious. Every day she proves that a true European national is the best wife a man can have.
There are a few rules that we will ask you to abide by. First, only one alcholic beverage for all persons over 21. I would encourage those of you with kids to let them at least have one night with you where you are not intoxicated. It will do wonders for your relationships.
Also, if you are married we ask that you actually bring your spouse to our party. Although I’m sure swinging is very exciting to most of you, we will stick to the biblical definition of coupling.
We will also have a fire hose on hand for those that decide to engage in over enthusiastic displays of affection. How about showing a little decorum, for just once in your life?
You have all been nothing other than altruistic and sweet natured towards my family, and we look forward to providing you some leadership and a night of fun.
Blessings,
Kermit

PLEASEEE HELP ME!!!
marriage is for the protection of the kids. marriage provides the children and the wife with security, partnership and gives the man the legal responsibility to provide for his family even in the event of divorce since generally it is his income that does most of the bill paying for the family.
no child wants to grow up in a single headed household. it’s a damn shame that ppl don’t value the institution of marriage or family anymore and ppl wonder why crime, drugs, and all the other shit is happening so bad in this country!!!
marriage isn’t RELIGOUS, it’s a LEGAL CONTRACT. that is why most ppl are so terrified of it. cuz you can’t easily walk away from your commitments.
this post is in response to these comments on marriage.
Should marriage not be recognized legally?
Im not going to stop posting this, so dont report; i didnt get to read the answers to my last question so here goes;
Divorce in the USA is over 50%, men are usually the ones to loose in a divorce, ending up on the street and destitute thanks to the greed and viscisness of women. Infidelity is rampant, and no fault divorces (mostly at the womans request) are also very high? Doesnt this indicate that americans are not responsible enough to get married? Why should the government sanction a practice that no longer has meaning to anyone, at least modern generations that is? Why not leave it to religions, so that men dont get raped in court.
Don’t know any other section to put this in, so here goes….
Anyway – married for 12 years, 2 kids. Wife has had an alcohol problem in the past. She has gone to treatment (AA and other groups). This was about 5 years ago. For the most part its all good.
However, she seems to have a “fall-off-the-wagon” incident about once every 12 to 18 months. EVERY time it happens, I get the same “I’m sorry, it’ll never happen again…. I’ll do anything not to loose you….” speach. She gradually rebuilds the trust in our marriage until the next binge comes along.
Most recent one was this past Sunday at a neighborhood cookout. I didn’t even really know she had been drinking (thought it was just Coke – without the Captain…).
Anyways – I’m tending the grill and all of a sudden she is stumbling all over the place in front of many of our friends and neighbors ! I get her cousin to help me get her into the house and put her to bed.
I am left to “explain” that she’s not feeling ..
well to our friends and our oldest son. Also left to attend to the kids and clean up after the cookout / etc…. OK, whatever.
As we are finishing the clean-up (me and a couple neighbors) – who comes stumbling down the driveway?…. I quickly got her turned back into the house and into the bedroom.
After I got the kids in bed, I went to check on her…. There is blood on the floor and in the master bath ! From what I can tell she got up to either use the bathroom or to puke and ran herself nose first into the door-jam ! I just leave it for her to clean up the next day.
Bottom line – I don’t know if I can forgive this last episode. She has already lied to her family, our son and some friends about how she got the busted lip, black eye, and scrape on her nose !
She gave me the whole, “Never do it again” B.S. the following day and for the past 2 days.
I feel like it only happens about once a year, but also like ….
I’m with a spouse that cheats (with alcohol, not another person)…. then promises never to do it again, yet ALWAYS does it again.
I love her dearly, but no longer trust her… her words have very little meaning b/c I’ve heard it all at least 4 to 5 times before.
Does ANYONE – know of any couples that have overcome something like this?
Any ideas? Or am I just putting off the enivetiable by not leaving now?
I’m afraid to leave b/c of the kids…. her abuse is not frequent enough, nor severe enough for me to have a chance in hell of getting full custody.
So, she’d likely get the kids AND the house and I’d just be F’d in the end anyways by the family courts….
Just wondering what to do ?!?!
(Compliments of Sir Rich)?

A man comes home from a late night out at a new, fancy club. He’s slightly intoxicated to say the least, and his wife is a bit doubtful of some his claims. He goes on to talk about how the door knobs are made of gold, how the silverware is made of gold, and finally how even the urinals are made of gold. After he passes out from his longwinded rantings, the wife becomes incredulous about his claims and decides to put an end to it. She calls up the new club and starts to question the man who answers. “Is it true, that your door knobs are made of gold,” the wife asks. The bartender replies, “Yes ma’am, 100% real.” A bit surprised, but still confident it isn’t true, she continues on, asking, “Is it true that your tableware is also made of gold?” Again he responds, “That would be correct.” Indignant, she asks, “My husband said that your urinals are made of gold, is that true too?!” There is a brief pause on the other end of the line, as the bartender asks loudly enough for the wife to hear, “Hey John I think we found the guy who peed in your saxophone.”
Why do I mad when my wife spends money on stepsons?
There real DAD is a total DEADBEAT, never payes child support, never calls, drugs and alcohol.
I have a daughter from past marriage and pay child support!
My wife was younger when she had her boys, now 30yrs old.
I really get mad when she wants to spend money on her boys why?
I own my own business, MONEY is not a problem!
I saw this movie yesterday,in where this one chick, had a crush on her teacher, she cast a spell on him and many of her class mates, that had pranked her, buried her alive after she fell
and hit her head on a table.Every time she touched someone’s face, they experience what she had experienced, then after that, each person is under her spell, and they do what ever she commands them to do.Near the end of the movie, she made to guys that were friends make out,she caused the girlfriend of one of those guys to binge a lot of food, including her finger tips. Then she commands those guys that were making out,to kill her teacher’s wife. Her class mates that were under her spell, find out a lot it,and they do everything they can to try and stop her,and learn that she did all this, from casting a spell from magic, and a missing page that came from a magic book.I can’t remember the name of the movie,I want to buy it,but I don’t know the name.I saw half of it at a friends house, then over slept threw the rest.
