Always five minutes late for work, but if he has to be there for the 5am shift, he’s always late by 1/2 hr. or so.
showed that no alcohol was involved?
Why would he try to slander a dead man?
“Let me tell you a little story,” The newspaper quoted Biden as saying. “I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly — and I never pursued it — drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries.”

“Alcohol didn’t play a role in the 1972 crash, investigators found. But as recently as last week, the syndicated TV show Inside Edition aired a clip from 2001 of Biden describing the accident to an audience at the University of Delaware and saying the truck driver “stopped to drink instead of drive.”
The senator’s statements don’t jibe with news and law enforcement reports from the time, which cleared driver Curtis C. Dunn, who died in 1999, of wrongdoing.”
“The rumor about alcohol being involved by either party, especially the truck driver, is incorrect,” said Jerome O. Herlihy, a Delaware Superior Court judge who was chief deputy attorney general and worked with crash investigators in 1972.
“If it were some part of a cause of the accident, there would have been a charge, simply because if you’re driving under the influence and kill someone in the process — whether it’s the wife of a U.S. senator or anybody else — there’s going to be a charge,” he said.
And look at lovely ol’ Biden’s camp had to say when Dunn’s daughter became distraught over her deceased father being maligned:
To see it coming from [Biden's] mouth, I just burst into tears,” Dunn’s daughter, Glasgow resident Pamela Hamill, 44, said Wednesday. “My dad was always there for us. Now we feel like we should be there for him because he’s not here to defend himself.”
Biden spokesman David Wade said Wednesday that the senator “fully accepts the Dunn family’s word that these rumors were false.”
ME: apparently you do not.
I had a district judge convict me of a 3rd degree felony, and was
sent to prison. While incarcerated, I was divorced, and my wife
somehow got the same judge!! I believe he should have ‘recused’
himself, being he gave me the maximum punishment (10/$10k) on
a 1st time felony. He was not fair or unbiased at that trial, and a simple divorce later, I can’t see my kids ONLY based on what my
ex-wife had to say. (I was abusive?)[The felony was a nonaccident, nonresistitution DWI; the one B4 that was back in
'94--but I get 10/10?ALL BASED ON CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVE-
DENCE; no breath or blood test, video actually benifitted ME]
Ernest “Ernie” Pyle was an American journalist who worked for the Scripps Howard newspaper from 1935 until his death. His work was mainly about the places he visited and his articles had a friendly and homely feel to them. Ernest was born on a farm in Dana, Indiana and when he turned 18 years old he joined the U.S Navy Reserve but only served three months because World War One soon ended after he joined. After the war, Pyle went to Indiana University but did not graduate. He moved to Washington, D.C and found a job at The Washington Daily News and worked three years there.(www.columnist.com) While in Washington he met his wife Geraldine Siebolds but her nickname was “Jerry”. Their relationship was an emotional roller coaster, his wife suffering from mental illness and alcoholism. He eventually divorced her only to remarry her a year later. In 1926 Pyle became the country’s first aviation columnist a job he held for four years. When World War Two began Pyle became a war correspondent, his writing abilities and his popularity won him the Pulitzer Prize. He reported from all around the world, the U.S, Africa, and Europe. (www.americanwriters.org)
Ernest Pyle died on April 18, 1945. He was driving in a jeep with Lieutenant Colonel Joseph B. Coolidge and three other men when the vehicle was hit by an enemy’s machine gun nearly a mile away on a coral ridge. The men jumped from the jeep and into a ditch, Pyle and Coolidge hid together. When Pyle lifted his head to look for the other men, the machine gun began to fire again and struck him in the head. However, in the telegram home to his father it was said he was killed by a sniper. His last words were to Coolidge, “Are you all right?” he was killed instantly. Pyle was one of the few American civilians to be killed during the war to be awarded a purple heart. His legacy is honored at Indiana University where he has a hall named after him. The photo of him laying on the ground shortly after his death has been published at least three times. Ernest Pyle is remembered for living an extraordinary life, traveling far and wide to coverage the story and writing stories that related to people while telling the truth of the situation. Pyle died while in the battlefield, working alongside soldiers to capture the scene and allow his readers to see the war through his eyes and he is forever remembered for it.
My wife got pulled over for a DWI and the male officer didn’t make her wear handcuffs until she got to the jail, and he didn’t pat her down until he got to the jail, where a female deputy was present.
she wasn’t drunk, she had two drinks, passed all the field sobriety tests and she only blew a .09 because she had had a drink not long before being pulled over.
They didn’t do a blood test, and they didn’t do a second test when she arrived at the jail. The only unit they used is the breath analyzer unit they carry in their patrol car.
And Kebert i don’t condone drunk driving in any way, believe me she got a mouthful I just don’t think she was given a just opportunity to prove she wasn’t drunk, as they are supposed to give her an actual test at the jail. Not only that but if he thought she was such a threat he would have patted her down and put her in the back seat with handcuffs. As apposed to letting her sit in the front seat with no handcuffs and giving her her purse to make phone calls.
I didn’t buy my wife an anniversary present so she broke up with me and is now a police woman. Only problem is, shes trying to make my life hell for me. Everytime i drive she gives me a ticket for no reasson, and always tells the headquarters that I drive drunk. Plus, she turned Jewish just to make fun of my budhist beliefs! Should i run to Canada, Moscow or India? Please help!
I am writing a two person, one act play on the subject of a man leaving his wife after her recovery (from alcoholism). He is leaving because the recovery portion has been more difficult than life before recovery. I want to make sure that each of my characters are viewed in a good light. No one, as in real life, is at fault here…. Just two people trying to repair themselves.
Please, understand that I know this is a very difficult subject to deal with. (I have been researching for almost a week and it hurts me to know that people go through this.) My production company prides itself in presenting realistic presentations that both teach and allow people to learn. This subject is heavy, BUT, I KNOW it’s one that will get people talking and learning. Maybe even help someone.
If you don’t wish to tell me your story here, PLEASE, feel free to email me privately at tympany@excite.com. I promise I WILL NOT contact you, unless you allow me to. Thanks…
No its not in my home but someone I know close to me is dealing w/ this. The husband has been an alcoholic for at least 35 years if not longer. He quit his job recently and decided to retire knowing his wife can pay bills all on her own an etc. The wife has insurance but cant afford to get help w/ the little money she makes and her insurance doesnt help alcoholics. He is so bad he drinks anything w/ alcohol in it. She is streesed out on top of the fact she was in the hosp a year ago for her heart and it was b/c of him. I will do about anything to help her but I need some resources that I can give her to help her out. He waits until she leaves to go to work then he gets boozed up and she might find him outside on the ground or slumped over in his truck. He is spending money that could help her please help me help her.
When he was working his insurance paid for stays at the hospital for help but not now. She has looked into committing him but was told they cant committ him unless he gives conscent. Is there anything their son can do to help?
I have a concern. Yesterday someone knocked (loudly) on my door. I looked through the peephole and saw a well built man wearing a USMC t-shirt. He then proceeded to knock on neighbors doors. Initially I thought that he was looking for something or someone or possibly selling something. About an hour later, he came back. But beginning at my door. But this time after knock…he attempted to open my front door yet it was locked. He then knocked on some neighbors doors. I could hear someone speaking to him. I later knocked on the neighbor’s door yet they wouldn’t answer. While laying in bed it occurred to me that maybe my wife took her name off my bond and revoked it. This would explain why someone tried to enter and why my neighbor was unwilling to answer. I called the bondsman who said this isn’t the case. However, I can’t ask him about this instance as he is my bondsman on pending traffic violations. This morning got me thinking some more. I have been making payments (have receipts) for all of the outstanding warrants. These all stemmed back from a DWI though which is why my license was suspended in the first place. There was never a conclusion to the DWI which I was on bond for (with a different bondsman). I don’t recall the bondsman as it was in 2004. It was due to this that my license was suspended in the first place. I was to make payments to resolve this at that time. I’m unsure if these payments are a part of what I’m paying now. If this is the case, I’m fearful there is a bounty hunter looking for me. How can I verify this and/or take care of it? I’m doing my best to take care of everything and get my family back.
All I remember is that the wife/ mother figure was drunk, and there was this big metaphor about looking out of the window and it was all foggy – representing her falling in to alcoholism. And the father figure was duped by the American Dream….
Any ideas? It’s a pretty popular one – I read it in AP English in high school
