My wife has a voracious appetite eating all the eggs and drinks all the milk and orange juice and when I want a glass there isn’t any.

I had eye drops for my eyes she used them all up.

I had aspirin in my drawer she found them and used them all up.

I have never said anything, but lately I’m getting tired of biting my tongue.

She only thinks about herself and nobody else.

Oh’ well, any suggestions?

There’s a period in one’s young life when politeness, charm, and winning ways are definitely not part of the picture. Take your 17-year-old son, Irwin, who believes it’s good to be bad. He wears mirror shades all hours of the day and night, his biceps are voluptuously inked with screaming skulls, and he spends endless hours in his room cranking obscure Norwegian death metal bands. Most summer nights, reports your daughter, a well-behaved honors student at Manhattan’s elite Horace Mann High School, Irwin and his depraved-looking friends can be found drinking PBRs in Williamsburg’s McCarren Park, getting higher than Air Jamaica, and howling at the moon.

“It’s just a stage he’s going through,” you tell your anxious wife good-naturedly.

But then you get a 3AM call from the police, officially informing you that Irwin and his band mates were busted for disorderly conduct outside their favorite pizzeria. Instead of obeying the policeman’s orders to raise his hands above his head, your gland-filled son instead broke the antenna off the police cruiser, and whip-lashed the face of the arresting officer. Fleeing the scene on a hijacked skateboard, the young fugitive was finally apprehended after a lengthy chase through Williamsburg’s North Side, by the canine unit.

What Is It?

A juvenile crime can include a wide variety of crimes normally committed by adults. These might include D.U.I, marijuana possession, robbery, assault-with-a-deadly-weapon, rape, and not as infrequently as you might think, murder. Individuals under the age of 18 who commit these crimes are punishable by law, but unlike the adult criminal justice system, more flexibility is accorded juveniles.

Generally, the age range of juvenile crime is between the ages of 10 and 18. The upper age of eligibility may be even younger than 18, or extended to the age of 20, depending on each state’s juvenile criminal justice system. In some states, a sentence obtained from a juvenile court cannot extend beyond the individual’s 18th birthday. Alternatively, a few states, including California and Connecticut, allow 14, 15, 16, and 17-year-olds to be tried as adults.

Juvenile attorneys believe children are children, and the adult criminal justice system does not provide the most appropriate means to deal with their criminal misbehavior. Children don’t have the maturity to function without adult guidance, and a skilled juvenile criminal lawyer will emphasize this fundamental reality. Society doesn’t allow children to vote, smoke, drink, or serve as police officers. In most cases, children are unable to marry. Nor does society consider children to be accountable as adults, and their actions should be treated accordingly.

Who Needs It?

For any child arrested, transported to the police station, and booked – it’s highly advisable to enlist the services of an experiences juvenile attorney a.s.a.p. Since juvenile court is different from the adult criminal justice system, you want an attorney who fully understands those differences. As one judge once put it, “Criminal defense attorneys unfamiliar with Juvenile Court procedure tend to be the worst at unwittingly hurting their clients’ positions.”

Benefits

If the teenager’s crime is not serious, a juvenile lawyer can often work out an agreement that might require the child to pay a fine, attend a class, or do similar work. By completing the agreement, the child will avoid going before a judge and getting a record of a judicial adjudication that could hurt him or her down the road. Depending on state procedures and youth services, a lawyer can steer a case towards non-judicial closure in a number of different ways.

If a non-judicial resolution cannot be reached, then the case will be set for arraignment before a juvenile court judge. At arraignment, the judge will inform the minor of her rights. The judge will then ask the young defendant to admit or deny the truth of the allegations in the petition. If your attorney counsels your child to admit the charge, the judge will adjudicate that the child is within the jurisdiction of the court. The judge will normally proceed to sentencing.

Your attorney can argue for some mix of community service, fines, and restitution. Occasionally, a short stay in detention is imposed, for less than 30 days. Other sanctions may be imposed, such as taking anger-management classes or entering drug and alcohol counseling programs.

At every point during these proceedings, the wise juvenile crimes attorney will emphasize that winning means doing what is best for the child, the community, and the victims. The three are all interrelated, and the teenage defendant is best served when your attorney works with juvenile prosecutors and judges towards this end.

Risks

Most states’ juvenile criminal justice systems operate under the belief that youth are fundamentally different than adults, in terms of psychological development, their level of responsibility, as well as their potential for rehabilitation. Juvenile judges, at the bequest of excellent juvenile lawyers, have been more concerned with administering individualized justice on the child’s behalf than with jumping through procedural hoops intended to guarantee due process. Many states, like Missouri, see successful reintegration of youth into society as the primary goal of the juvenile criminal justice system – without compromising public safety. Few would consider all 16- or 17-year-olds mature.

However, recent attitudinal changes have hardened the juvenile criminal justice system’s approach. As juvenile offense rates skyrocketed in the 1990s, many legislatures responded with a “get tough” approach. In the mid-1990s Utah’s legislature passed the “Serious Youth Offender Act,” which mandated that certain teenage offenders could be transferred to the criminal justice system to be tried as adults. This Act abandoned any attempt at juvenile court rehabilitation of certain categories of offenders – including some first-time offenders.

Connecticut and California have followed Utah’s example. Both states will treat 16- and 17-year-olds as adults if judges see fit. In the most serious crimes, the two states even treat 14- and 15-year-olds as the adults that few psychiatrists believe they are.

When, as a Counselor, I speak about Addiction, I can’t help but include the fact that I am an Addict. There’s no doubt about the fact that I’m an Addict in Recovery, but none-the-less, I am an Addict! I’ve been clean and sober for over twelve years, and I am working on 13 years, One-Day-at-a-Time! I am a CAADAC Certified Counselor, in California. I am a member of both the California and National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors. More importantly, I am a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. I’ve served as a treatment program Director, and have been a part of the Startup of two new, successful treatment programs. Again, all of this does not change the fact that I am an Addict. Once an Addict, always an Addict… This is a good thing, though some may not want to acknowledge what I’m saying. In my mind there is no such word as “Recovered”.

I believe that Addiction is very much initially, and later on becomes chronic and progressive, as a result of “FEAR”! There are all kinds of fears that can integrate into personality development. An insecure child can develop many fears. One thing in particular stands out as a cause of this insecurity, and that is poor parenting. I heard someone say one time that 96% of all American families can be classified as dysfunctional! This was based on the definition of dysfunctional as being; When one or more persons needs are not being met, in the family structure. An example would be; if dad has made up his mind that his son is going to be what dad never had the opportunity to be, when the son is inclined and possibly destined to be something else. In this situation, the son will likely never be able to please dad. This conflict then often puts mom in the middle, feeling like she should be able to “fix this” issue. If there are siblings, out of proportion sibling rivalry may grow from the conflict that can become constantly present. As a result of one family member’s distorted expectations, directed at only one family member, the entire family structure has become unstable. What’s worst in this particular situation is that dad is absolutely convinced that he is doing what’s best for his son, and is so blinded by his own belief and desire that he has no clue that he is the source of most of the problems that develop in this family! Two of the options that the son has, are neither healthy for him or the family. He can just, suck-it-up and try to please dad, or he can absolutely reject the pressure, which will in either case, most likely, have negative results for him and the rest of the family. This is just one relatively common case of what seems to be trivial, turning out to be disastrous. This also very often brings “Drugs” into the equation. Every single family member, except “maybe” the instigator, will be living with unacceptable fear in their lives.

Examples like the one above are commonly overlooked and well hidden problems in very many families. Fears of one kind or another are generally the cause of anxiety. In turn, anxiety usually can be temporarily quelled by the use of mood altering substances or psychoactive drugs. Psychoactive is the category that all, commonly abused drugs, fall in to. Anxiety is most often related to fear in some way or another. Just being inherently shy generates numerous fears that most abused drugs can temporarily overcome. That is, they can, until the drug begins generating new problems. Stop, and reflect on how many fears human beings can develop. Some dysfunctional personalities develop as a result of a fear as simple as being very uncomfortable around a lot of people. Many children that only have one gender of role model in their life can develop very unnecessary fear, that is hard to identify until it’s already done the damage.

I’ve learned a lot through formal education, but I am still most familiar with my own case, and use it to understand those that I serve. I have always been fearful in many ways. I have always had a general fear of life itself. What I mean to say is that regardless of accomplishments I’ve made or how other people see me, I privately am insecure about myself and have to constantly use the skills I’ve gained as a Counselor, to address my own self-esteem issues. This gives me a substantially valuable quality of “Empathy” when serving as a care-giver to other Addicts. When working at treatment programs, in individual session with parolees who have just finished a prison term, I’ve had many admit to being afraid. They often are scared by the setting which is new to them. Very often they are afraid of failure in treatment and many repercussions that it might present. They are afraid they’ll let someone down. They are afraid that no one will ever trust them again. They’re afraid of life without the drug that they have often been using for most of their life. They are afraid that their wife will not love the person that they must become and may have never seen before. They’re afraid that they’ll never get a job that will be “gainful employment” because of their criminal record. They’re afraid that they are going to have to be competitive in society without a Driver’s License. The list just never stops, and I completely understand that many of these legitimate fears can cause a failed treatment episode. Thus, it becomes essential that addressing fear becomes a root component of treatment of drug Addiction.

The thing is, that it is usually not possible to overcome all of the fear. My experience has taught me that many “normal” people have developed the coping skill of living with their fear. I believe that this is what I have done, myself, and it’s not easy for me, by any means! After 12 years of Sobriety I still have to go to AA and NA meetings kind of like one has to take vaccinations to prevent diseases other than Addiction, from returning. This brings up the subject of the nature of Addiction Recovery in that it is really a life-long process. Everyone has fears. But, not everyone knows, that somewhere in the back of their mind, they may be able to relieve this anxiety with a drug-of-choice. I’m telling you, first hand, that this is a fact for the Addict.

Group therapy has become a standard for addressing this confrontation of fear. It does not always work for every participant, though. Many people can only face this, often very personal, problem in individual session with a Therapist, Counselor or 12-Step Sponsor. This is also where the importance of knowledge of “self help” concepts is crucial. This is the truest strength of the 12-Step concept that originated with Alcoholics Anonymous. The Alcoholic or Addict draws strength from the group, in meetings, to hold him over one-day-at-a-time until the next meeting, while he is a “newcomer”! For some this goes on for months and even years. There are even some who have to use this method for the remainder of their life, if they are to remain in remission from this disease of Addiction! This amazing “program of life”, AA, has been adapted to address most of the Addictions that people fall prey to. The 12-Step Program is more prevalent than most people could ever imagine. It has spread over the entire globe. I live in a town that has a population of over 250,000. It’s not a big city or a small town. It is, I believe, representative of “Average America”, and with just AA and NA there are over 350 meetings every week.

Somehow I always come back to the 12-Step Program when I speak about Recovery! Though I am a trained Counselor, I realize that when ever I am able to help an Addict, it is because they have decided that they are going to “help him or her self”. We who suffer from the disease of Addiction, are so complicated that to remain truly “in Recovery” we must never forget the consequences of drug use. We, in my opinion, never stop having to address fear. Whether it looks like it from the outside, or not, some neurological characteristics that all Addicts have developed are always just below the surface and capable of causing relapse into the disease. Through the 12-Step Program we can never have to face this alone!

At the top of the kitchen career chain lies the Executive Chef position. The executive chef is the general of the kitchen troops, overseeing and deploying the kitchen staff in it’s day-to-day operations. Not all chefs aspire to this position, as the executive chef doesn’t actually have time to cook. And since the position is one of management rather than engaging in the culinary arts, the position of executive chef is one that you only have when your operation is so big that you really need one!

Others see the executive chef career as the opportunity to apply their skills to a greater canvas. Free from stirring the sauce or arranging the rosettes, the executive chef gets to be the brains of the kitchen and plan the meals as a chess player plans an attack.

Chefs, being an artistic profession, may have some temperament issues to go alongside their talent. With one chef, this is unnoticeable, but with a staff of twenty chefs with a leadership hierarchy, the personal differences tend to come out. The executive chef will have to manage around any conflicts that develop, and more importantly not be a source of conflict themselves. Just how out of control can a chef’s behavior get? Here we will take a look at one career which highlights the answer to just that question:

“The Belgian Chef” was a televised cooking show that ran for three and a half seasons on cable channels in New England, from the Fall of 1994 through March of 1996. This was well before the days of the Food Network.

Chef Henry Perlingine hosted the show, flamboyantly preparing Belgian and Alsatian specialty dishes along with occasional French items. Each week, he’d have a guest on the show. When the show was in it’s first seasons, the guests booked by the studio were the typical culinary crowd you would expect: restaurateurs and other chefs, some quite famous in their own right. After a time, some narrow-gauge local celebrities were also making guest appearances. As time passed and the show caught on with a regular audience, he began to land nationally-known entertainers and media personalities.

Perlingine’s manner was often confrontational, mimicking the Avant-Garde theater of the 1960s. It was clear to everyone that he was doing this with an ironic sense of humor, and guests were more than happy to go along with the joke. He infused each show with a charismatic dose of personality, and each episode got higher ratings than the last.

He had a drinking problem as well, and was saddled with a mercurial temperament, both of which were not so close to the surface in the first season. By the end of the second season, however, he had begun to drift off into rambling and incoherent diatribes on-camera, sometimes completely losing track of the thread of the show. His behavior was increasingly irrational throughout the second season, culminating at the end of the season’s last episode when he struck guest-star Dinah Shore with a mallet.

This behavior gave rise to concern in the producers. It seemed their star was getting a little too deeply into his television persona. Perlingine’s management prevailed on him to spend most of the summer of 1995 in a rehab program, and in September he returned to the show apparently refreshed and considerably mellower, ready again to be everybody’s favorite kitchen wizard.

For shame, it was not to last. In the third episode of the third season, he threw an iron pan of coquilles St. Jacques at guest Morton Downey Jr. Now, if you remember Morton Downey Jr., you’d be a little suspicious as to why the famously abrasive television personality was cast as a guest with this chef who already was known to snap in the first place. You don’t have to be crazy or drunk to want to brain Downey with a pan of seafood. As if this weren’t enough, Perlingine then sat down and proceeded to consume a bottle of Burgundy while reading a speech addressed to his estranged wife, Esmeralda, all while on the air. The coquilles never even got finished.

Subsequent episodes saw an increasing decline in Perlingine’s mental state. He frequently insulted and threatened guests, and on several occasions he struck them. He would drink during the show, and by the end of an episode he was often so tipsy as to be unable to find the stove. But the ratings soared. Perlingine was billed as “the Howard Stern of Gallic cuisine”, and outside the studio the scalpers demanded hundreds of dollars for good seats on days when an unusually resilient or fleet-footed guest was scheduled to appear with their troublesome host. By this time Perlingine had become dependent on injected methamphetamine. Blinded by the ratings, the producers actually persuaded Perlingine’s management to keep him out of rehab. This was before things like the Jerry Springer show were known to television, and producers were just waking up to the morbid fascination television audiences had for psychological instability.

Thus passed the winter with few further outbursts, and then, on Thursday, March 3, 1996, the unstable universe of the cooking show at last collapsed. Actress Vanessa Redgrave appeared as that day’s guest on the show. For the first quarter of an hour, Perlingine was oddly quiet, and then with shaking hands he extracted a revolver from his toque. Redgrave fled the stage screaming, while Perlingine avidly gave chase. For forty-five minutes, while the cameras rolled and a terrified gaffer attempted without success to complete Perlingine’s abandoned souffle, Perlingine stalked Redgrave through the set and the backstage area, and show staff was alarmed to hear him start firing shots! At one point he pursued Redgrave through the audience, firing shots over the mostly abandoned seats. At last as the credits rolled, the police arrived. Perlingine was cornered on the scaffolding above the stage and fatally shot. The show was cancelled immediately, and has not been released into syndication.

So, what can we learn from the fate of Henry Perlingine? If you’re a good enough cook, you can be let out on quite long a leash before anybody’s had enough of you. But your job as an executive chef is to stop things before they get that far.

My wife and I enjoy each other sexually, but she finds the vast majority of her pleasure from my hand masturbating her versus what we would like, my organ. She has to have my organ in her, but she really doesn’t get going until I am finished and I start to work on her with my hand. We think it might be because she was single for so many years that that is kind of what she got used to. We hope somebody else can relate with this and provide us some suggestions as to how we can bring her that ecstasy with my organ at the same time I am enjoying her.

Google the word Alcoholism and you will get 25,400,000 search results. Addiction of Alcohol and Symptoms of Anxiety Depression can reduce the toughest person to a babbling wreck. Anxiety of Alcoholic relapse is a real factor in your quest to remain sober. Stop anybody in the street and ask them what they associate with the word Alcoholism and the answers will more than likely include the replies, hitting rock bottom, detox, down and out, addiction, messed up life, homelessness, crime blah blah blah. Pay a little more attention and do your research and you can find out that when you drive at night one out of seven drivers on the road are legally drunk. The Medical Research Council states that alcohol abuse costs the South African economy around R9 billion a year and half of all murders are the result of drunkenness. The stats are never-ending and cover all aspects of South African society from child abuse to pedestrian deaths, home violence and the tragic cases of childbirth defects. Almost all events that you consider bad news probably have to a certain degree alcohol involved somewhere or other.

However on the inevitable other side of the coin, studies have found that the use of alcohol has significant advantages in the general treatment of stress, heart disease and related illnesses. Add to this the economic benefits of a massive industry contributing to the nations wealth and job creation and we almost have a stalemate.

Into this balancing act comes the plight of the individual. Somebody once said, and the name escapes me now, that there are stats, more stats and then there is damn lies. But there is no doubt in my mind that this is a problem that has to be looked at very carefully. The general consensus is that approximately 1 in 17 people over the age of 15 years are predisposed to the potentially fatal illness of Alcoholism. Another frightening stat holds the premise that only 1 in 37 diagnosed Alcoholics ever make a full recovery over the long-term. Food for thought indeed.

A few years ago I went through the ordeal and horrors of acute alcoholism. I was one of the fortunate ones. I survived though the grace of God, the love and compassion of my loved ones and friends and the skill and care of the medical profession. I went on to write a feature article for Mens Health which turned out to be my heartfelt account of my spiral into a dark world of despair, desperation and depression. The article itself contained nothing new for students of this silent killer disease. Started drinking. drunk more, made excuses, raged at the world in general, got drunker, screwed up everything dear to me, approached death, ruined my body and my mind and finally thankfully collapsed and went to hospital and dried out . The reaction to my “Unhappy Hour” article was overwhelming. I was soon to realize that this was an epidemic spinning out of control. I was definitely not alone.

I went on to regain my self-esteem and rebuild my life. A close call that many people do not make it out of and then have the luxury sitting and looking back as I have.So now there I sat congratulating myself on beating the odds. Now what?

Well to be brutally honest “now what” involved a new phase of my life that would require me to bite the bullet all over again, except this time this was not going to be solved with a 10 day detox and sleep therapy, in some overpriced private hospital. My Doctors words started to resonate in my brain. ” It’s simple Alan, do not drink again and you’ll be fine. Drink, you’ll die”

That was it in plain English. The only problem was that I was having a problem coming to terms with that concept. Let me get this straight. I was 45 years old and let’s say I lived until 80. 80 minus 45 gives you 35 years. A long, long time in anybodies world. That’s a hell of a lot of braais, weddings, celebrations, bad days, shit bosses, traffic jams, disappointments, closing deals and watching the Boks beat the All Blacks and Chuck Norris 50- nil. Maybe the medical guys had made a mistake. Maybe I was not an alcoholic. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Time was to prove them right. I had not beaten the odds. Eighteen months later on one particular bleak July day in a not so sunny Margate I sunk a bottle of my favourite hard tack and ended up in the emergency room waiting for a stomach pump. For some obscure reason only known to the big guy upstairs I made it out of the hole again. As my relationship, business and health were back on the line once again, I finally made the decision. My version of mothers milk had to part company and this time for good.

I had now became a member of a club that nobody in their right mind wants to join. Serving a life sentence with no parole. The medical advice now became quite specific. Not a drop of alcohol to pass my lips. The 6% or so of us who have this defective gene are advised to not take the chance of alcohol entering our system in any form whatsoever. This unnamed and undetectable gene sends us types dilly and as a result we cannot have a few dops after work or at the weekend just in case we go berserk and drink ourselves into an early grave.

Once I had heard my sentence I now had to work out how to serve it. I’ve read that real prisoners talk about “hard and soft time”. It was at this time that I had an “Oprah” moment. I got it. Regret is too mild a description. I had screwed up big time and now was going to have to pay for it. Big time. Hospitalization had ridden me of my withdrawal symptoms but now I had to deal with the mind games.

The public at large are no doubt familiar with Alcoholics Anonymous and the sterling work that they do to help those unfortunates stricken with this potentially fatal disease. Day by day is their anthem. Most of us initially fight against this prognosis dished up to us and truly believe that we will beat the odds. We start to think that maybe they had got it wrong. Maybe I can have a break and start again. Here came those dam maybes again. So, for many, starts the so-called falling off the wagon and then having to pick yourself up again. But the awful reality is that ” they” were more than likely right and you have to make a plan. Somewhere, sometime I came across a quote from one of those old guys in the good old days. I think it was the American poet Robert Frost. As he sat in the countryside he came up with something that, for me summons up this whole fight with alcoholism -

“Two roads diverged in the woods. I took the one less traveled, and it made all the difference.”

The difference here is to stay sober even if it kills you.

After leaving the hospital my body gradually began to heal. It desperately needed to. For all those out there who want to hear a few good reasons to not reach the chronic stage of alcoholism and what I like to call the ” last legs” phase, here are a few. They are not pretty but they are a reality. They will happen eventually. If you are strong, lucky or just have an angel looking after you you might one day survive to talk about it. If not, have a nice trip.

This phase lasts a few days, weeks or months, depending on your constitution. It is a slide into hell rendering you powerless to prevent an existence on the edge of a gaping black hole. I kid you not. The blood vessels in my eyes started to implode. My legs were uncontrollable and went on a mission of their own. I had no visible veins left. To this day I can only guess what the green gunge spewing out of me was. Medically my liver and kidneys had almost called it a day . There seemed to be no difference between my sleep and my waking hours. I drifted between paranoia, hallucinations and voices in my ear. The phrase “dead man walking” definitely springs to mind.

Within a month or so from leaving the hospital my body started to get it’s act together. Every day I got stronger and began to look human again. I rediscovered the glory of food. During the last 20 days prior to my treatment I had eaten nothing at all. It was impossible to keep anything down. I went back to work and generally lived a normal life. Initially I was pre-occupied with just getting my life back in working order but in time that dreaded word for alcoholics, craving, reared it’s ugly head. They creep into your life at the most innocuous times and can be the ruination of many good intentions. Coupled with this new threat was a new idea slowly forming that basically questioned the fairness of this whole ” new normal” for me. Why me? Was there something wrong with me? Unfortunately these questions have the same meaning as asking how long is a piece of string? Your Anxiety of the future and your Addiction of the Mind and Body can be real threats to your sobriety. The stories of Alcoholic Recovery are statistically possible. Keep a close watch on the cravings and those deadly symptoms of anxiety depression and you can make it.

If you sat down with 10 Doctors and Psychologists you might get 10 different answers to why some of us are alcoholics and others can get vrot drunk from time to time and continue living a normal life. The bad news is that medical science is divided on the answers. There could be a defective gene, it might be hereditary, neurotransmitters in the brain have got their wires crossed or it could be due to an addictive personality. What is a known fact is that there is no simple test to determine your risk of developing full blown alcoholism. The medical guys have a nice expression which basically says that you have crossed the line. You will not even know that you are approaching that line and you cross it oblivious to the fact that you are about to turn your life upside down. Realistically it is a subjective call that finally condemns you to carrying the label, “alcoholic” around with you for the rest of your life. That call is mostly based on your alcohol intake and your general functionality in your day to day activities. Not a full-proof system and one that has no appeal to the alkie contesting their life sentence. But in the hands of an experienced practitioner you can be sure that they have, for all intensive purposes called it right.

It is probably this uncertainty that leads many of us to question our label and in most cases to chance your arm with a few dops. Bad idea guys. You will create history if you do manage to beat the odds. A blind acceptance of your fate is probably a good start to a long lasting “cure”. Falling off the wagon is another phrase that we are all familiar with. It happens. In fact the majority of labeled alkies will fall off at some point. The trick is to pick yourself up. I have had the privilege and pleasure over the last few years to consul others and the “fallen hero” syndrome is never far away from your thoughts.Today I can help you but tomorrow is another day.

There is a wide range of support groups out there who are only too willing to come to your aid. The well known AlcoholicsAnonymous exist solely to help those battling with this killer disease. And a huge bonus is the fact that they are free. Staffed by men and woman who have beaten this monster, this is a good start to cleaning your act up. Like many support groups dedicated to this illness their counselors have been there, done that and got the T-shirt. Listen to them and they will pull you out of the black hole that you find yourself in.

After almost coming to terms with your label we come to the crux of this whole sad scenario. How in the hell am I going to not drink ever again? Four words. IT IS NOT EASY. We live in a world surrounded by alcohol. Just look around you. Unlike illegal drugs there is a bottle store on every corner. Hell nowadays when you pop in to buy your bread and milk net on die hoek you are confronted by rows and rows of bottles of my favourite poison. Newspapers, T.V. radio and magazines bombard you the whole time. Smoking has become a no-no but alcohol has crept into our nations psyche. I mean our national sports teams are financed by the giants of the liquor industry. Oh look there’s Graeme Smith, he’s definitely the king of the “castle”. In their effort to sell the product they go to great lengths to glamorize life with a dop by your side. Our basic socialization teaches us from a very early age that no event is complete without the requisite alcohol intake. When did you last go to a wedding, promotion party, simple family braai or just plain get-together after work and you all drunk mineral water. You could probably count them on one hand.

And these are the happy events. What about the fight with the wife, the retrenchment, the death of a loved one, losing that big deal or just feeling pissed off with life. Alcohol used and not abused is a feature of our fast and modern times. To sit and consider that it is no longer part of your life requires a 360 degree turnaround in your way of thinking. It is no help to try and demonize alcohol. Sure it is probably responsible in one way or other for much of the carnage on our roads, our ridiculous crime levels and the ever increasing women and child abuse in the new South Africa. But there is another side of the coin. Who can deny that a couple of cold ones after a bad day at the office rests the brain. That warm comfortable feeling at the family braai so that even Uncle Flip’s nonsense starts to make logical. That awkward corporate do when suddenly Mr. Jones from Regional office does not seem such a prick after all. In all these instances it does not matter that the whole lot of you cannot sentence two strings together. You are relaxed, feeling good and life is not so bad after all.

Besides the physical presence of alcohol around you all the time “club members” have to have eyes in the back of their heads. There are many side-shows that can trip you up. Days after coming out of hospital my better half Mary out of the goodness of her heart decided to buy me an extremely expensive vitamin boosted drink. The object was to get my wasted body back on track. A couple of days later I started to feel as though I needed a drink badly. On investigation with my pharmacist I was informed that it contained elements of ethanol. Enough to make my recently sodden brain recognize that this was an old friend calling again. A close call. As a recovering and sober alcoholic there are many instances when you are tested. Alcohol is a sneaky bastard and pops up in the most unusual places, usually unannounced. Christmas Day and as the restaurant clientele get stuck into their much awaited Xmas pudding , you have to take a rain-cheque. Sorry too much brandy in that one. Mouthwash, sports vitamin drinks, low alcohol beer, even some deodorants can get those brain cells craving all over again. It is very much a case of treading softly and making sure that you avoid even the smallest amount of alcohol. Modern psychology has more or less worked out that the brain is like a camera and records many of your memories. It is like a computer with 100,000GB of memory. The memory of your drunken stupors are recorded and are easily activated. So watch it.

Every sober alcoholic has to find his own individual way to deal with his life sentence. I took the middle road of evasive action. I buy wine for my better half. I will feel comfortable in small groups of friends and family who are drinking at a social event. I draw the line at large gatherings. Later in the evening I feel alienated and isolated. As the brews flow I do start to feel uneasy. It is just my way. It is for the individual to work out what works best. For me in a world swimming in alcohol I made the decision to have it around in small doses. A s they say in the classics- whatever floats your boat. Nobody starts out with the intention of becoming an alkie and that magical line creeps up on us unannounced. Beware though once you are labeled your life takes a definite downturn. It is really best to try and head off that day. You all know if a problem is developing. Deep down you now need alcohol rather than want it. The body and mind now require just to give you a shot at getting through the day. What started out as a fun way to relieve tension and stress or just to have a good time is now a preoccupation. Without it you become one sick camper. Body sweats, nausea, shaking, mental confusion and generally one screwed-up constitution are the byproducts of even a few hours abstinence. Take it from someone who has been there, do not go there. Stop it before you wake up one day and suddenly your daily dop is your master. Stop it before your every waking moment revolves around the next drink. It happens so fast and the next minute you become a member of that “club” that nobody wants to join. Have fun with your drink but do not let it become your everything. Take advice from family, friends and work colleagues. They will be noticing your slide way before you will admit to a problem.

Then again the whole question of how to get treatment is fraught with difficulties. A good starting base would be your family G.P. Try and choose somebody who regularly deals with this type of problem. It really does help to actually like the individual. Another base to touch is a Psychologist. I went through numerous Psychologists until I finally found one that I felt comfortable with. Alcoholics by the very secretive nature of their illness are very convincing liars and spend most of their time in self-denial. Modern research has concluded that alcoholism and acute depression co-exist in most cases. The burning question to sort out is” are you drinking because you are depressed or are you depressed because you are drinking”. A tricky one but the type of issue a compassionate and experienced G.P. and Psychologist can get to grips with. I will never forget coming out of a session with a Psychiatrist, climbing into the car and proclaiming to Mary that the guy was a nutcase who needed help more than I did. Sad but true. In my confusion I had started to lose the plot.

The range of treatments depend on how long you have been on the slide and your mental and physical state. From simple counseling, anti-depressants to sleep therapy and if the depression is severe and life threatening, the last resort treatment of Shock Therapy. But ultimately the day will arrive when you are on your own and it is time to bite the bullet. Total, absolute and never-ending abstinence is the only route to go. Statistically the odds of you beating the odds are for all intensive purposes, one big fat zero.

Some days are worse than others. The usual and normal day to day activities of everyday life present you with many occasions when a couple of cold ones seems like the answer. Your slide into acute alcoholism followed by your treatment phase will eventually become a distant memory. The days, weeks, months and years of trying to stay sober will be your new reality. Once again I would like to quote another old guy who probably knew what he was talking about. During the dark days of World War Two when his island was been threatened by the ever-growing menace of Nazism, Winston Churchill, who by all accounts liked the odd dram, declared,

“If you are going through hell, keep going”

Better advice was never given. Anxiety of relapsing and your Addiction of Alcoholic substances can increase your potential vulnerability. Add in the symptoms of anxiety depression and you have a lethal combination. Turn your greatest weakness into your greatest strength. As I wrote in my article a couple of years ago, you are definitely not alone.

TIGER Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren wants a divorce ( half estate as cost), sole custody and half his estimated £370 million ($671 million) fortune, according to a newspaper report.

The superstar golfer has also reportedly reneged on a promise he made to his wife to go into rehabilitation to wean himself off the prescription drugs Ambien and Vicodin.

A close friend of Ms Nordegren told the News of the World: “Tiger was supposed to be working on getting better and he hasn’t done anything. Instead he just went to stay with a friend and says he’s ‘trying to get better on his own’.

“Elin is livid he hasn’t checked into rehab and gotten himself off his drugs. He’s acting like a big baby,” the source said.

“Now she wants 100 per cent divorce, 100 per cent custody of the children and half of everything. And she won’t be changing her mind.”

Ms Nordegren is reported to have engaged the services of renowned Californian divorce lawyer Sorrell Trope, who represented Britney Spears in her court battles with Kevin Federline.

Woods has vowed to quit golf for at least the next 12 months, according to the newspaper, with the devastated star telling aides he feels “helpless” and is “not in control” of his life.

The aides also say the star is fighting deep-seated “personal issues”, including his use of pain medication like Vicodin and sleeping tablets Ambien.

A source told News of the World: “Tiger is a broken man, on the edge and unable to come to terms with what’s happening in his life.

“He has made it clear that he doesn’t want to do anything on the golf course in the next year.

“He has realised that his golf tour life has become a no-holds-barred non-stop party. But he reckons things will blow over.”

The pair’s children, Sam, two, and 10-month-old Charlie will be Ms Nordegren’s top priority.

“She’s like a mama bear protecting her young,” said the source.

“She’s prepared to give him visitation – but she wants the visits to be monitored.

“This may seem a little extreme but it shows her anger. Elin firmly believes she’ll win custody as well as half everything Tiger has. He’s in for a fight.”

According to the friend, the Swedish former model isn’t even bothered whether Woods, 33, is still in contact with his mistresses.

“She couldn’t give a hoot,” said the friend. “She couldn’t care less if he wants to ruin his life some more. ‘Let him see them if he wants’ is her attitude.

“Tiger is his own worst enemy because at the start, Elin was sympathetic towards him ( Elin Woods’ Life ). He was so physically and emotionally ill, she was thinking of giving him a second chance. But Tiger’s refusal to go into therapy is the last straw.”

I have a concern in reference to my wife. She is bipolar and pregnant which meant that her medication wasn’t’t working as well as it should. Due to lack of concentration and focus, I admitted her to a mental health facility so that they may find a way to manage/change her meds. This was over 1 month ago. Since this time, my wholesome Christian wife has been exposed to vulgar language, has picked up profanity, has learned of prostitution and drugs. Worst yet, she has been violated (touched) on 3 occasions. This is absolutely not what I (we) signed up for. Most recently was last week when a patient touched the front of her genitalia. This is absolutely unacceptable! At this point, I decided to have her released. After all, she went in voluntarily. She made the request which meant that an MD had 4 hours to respond. Shouldn’t be her decision to make? I arrived and the doctor began looking at me harshly through the window. He came out with a nurse and was instantly agitated stating that he is “tired of having to come up here”. First of all, it is his job. Secondly, he was on staff in the clinic. From what I have seen, much of the staff tends to stay in the office and drink coffee ignoring patients request. They hand them crayons and let them watch TV. This isn’t’t therapeutic in my opinion. I fully understand that patients may become stir crazy and want out even if they feel that they are okay. However, I know my wife better than the doctors, better than staff, and better than her family. She is my very best friend. In addition to being my wife, we share everything together. Most importantly, I know her personality and changes in it and I see that she has improved.

Back to this doctor. After explaining these concerns the nurse said that she was not violated…that she is lying. I explained that when I arrived that I walked into her room where she was crying to a CA and telling the story. The nurse said “no you didn’t…it never happened”. Now I was lying?? I then asked why that patient was placed on restriction and moved to a different floor unless there were complaints. At which the nurse said that he wasn’t. This patient was obviously very ill and I doubt that he was released. This again was the third time that she has been violated which is why I had her switched from the 3rd to the 2nd floor. The doctor then became combative though I was speaking calmly yet sternly due to the lying accusations. He told me that I had no authority and that he is going to get a court order. I again tried to explain my concerns. I stated that emotionally this has been difficult on her and she is not receiving the treatment that we anticipated. I told them that I know longer wanted her to continue with ECT due to my wife being pregnant. He said that was her decision and not mine. I told him that I would tell her (which she decided to have one more if it meant that she could be released). The MD said if she refused that he could court order that as well and that she is a danger to herself. Not once has my wife attempted suicide. She was depressed a year ago due to our separation and the loss of her father. We now have 2 beautiful little girls and a baby on the way. She would never take her life. And running an electrical current through her brain should be her decision to make. This is a medical clinic…not a prison after all. The doctor became so angry that he walked into the center room with the nurse. He began yelling and pointing to me, speaking to the nurse. Worst yet, he began being very obscene and using profanity about me. I heard him say: ‘F’ this guy, he has no ‘F-ing’ clue what he is talking about. And knocked on the door and said “you do realize this is glass and that I can hear you”. The nurse later said he was speaking to her. This for one wasn’t true. And secondly, by saying that she admitted that he was indeed cursing. This was unprofessional, childish, and disrespectful. What sort of ethics did he learn in med school?? I then mentioned getting an attorney. After that, they took my wife’s ‘blue band’. After 30 days, she earned that and had only been outside twice. It was petty and spiteful. She earned that right after a month to once again be a part of the real world as opposed to the lack of reality she has endured.

Staff has discussed her treatment with her family when there is no release of information signed by my wife. This is a direct violation of HIPAA. She has asked to speak to her doctor and the social worker said that she was not there…walked into a room…and there we saw her doctor sitting as the door closed. She lied to us yet we have been called liars. My wife has been violated and disrespected. She is easily intimidated so she goes along with much of this out of fear the staff will keep her longer. She and I now feel that she is a prisoner more than a patient. Someone to be a bed filler so the clinic can collect it’s money from the insurance. Her being admitted has even cost us our children. CPS now has them and we cannot get them back as long as she is in there. She can’t even see them now that her blue band was taken away. My wife has been violated and so have her rights. This is all unacceptable and has been a nightmare. I am so regretful for bringing her in and will never make this mistake again. My question is…what can I do to have her released. Do I need to begin contacting an attorney? Do I need to contact the Office for Civil Rights to report the HIPAA violation as well as the Advocacy for Mental Health? I will do whatever I need to in order to protect my wife and prevent anything further to happen to her or her well being. My once innocent and loving Christian wife is being returned to me and our children now somewhat tainted by her experience in this clinic. These memories will always be there and I will forever regret subjecting my wife to this treatment.

Well, after the holiday, Tiger Woods scandal refreshed with full of renewed vigor. I’d say it is far more than Tiger thought. Plastic surgery, rehab clinics, well-aimed 9 irons and more large blonde ladies of a certain stamp bubbled up.

So far, only one piece of verifiable information has emerged: that the golfer who took “indefinite leave” from his career to focus on “being a better husband, father and person” has been dropped by a sponsor, the phone company AT&T. All other reports are based on rumour and conjecture. You should have your own assessment on these events.

He’s in an Arizona rehab clinic!

The paparazzi website X-17 claimed last Tuesday that Woods had checked into an addiction centre to seek treatment for a “sexual compulsion”. It quoted a “source” close to the golfer saying he hopes the public will forgive his adultery if he blames it on a psychological illness. The report led to speculation that Woods is also being weaned off painkilling drugs that were prescribed to ease a bad back he suffered last season.

Verdict Arizona boasts just two clinics that might cater for a celeb of Tiger’s standing: the Cottonwood in Tucson and the Meadows in Phoenix. X-17′s inability to identify which one suggests its “source” isn’t exactly copper-bottomed.

He’s had plastic surgery!

An email that went viral after being published on the blog of veteran sportswriter Furman Bisher claims that Tiger’s wife Elin discovered illicit texts on his mobile when he left the device at his Florida home. On his return, it claims Mrs Woods attacked him with a 9 iron, causing severe damage to his face. The email, which Bisher says came from a “trusted source”, contends that he’s since had reconstructive surgery, again in Arizona.

Verdict The story is undermined by police reports, which record the golfer, suffered no injury more disfiguring than a puffy lip.

He’s living with Rachel Uchitel!

The TV show Entertainment  told its millions of viewers that Woods spent Sunday afternoon “holding hands and mingling with 300 other partygoers inside a private mansion in Palm Beach” before adjourning to a local nightspot. The show added that Woods and Mrs Uchitel, who was the first of his alleged mistresses to be identified, have been together for the past fortnight aboard Privacy, the golfer’s ironically named yacht, which is said to be moored in a discreet harbour.

Verdict ET is a well-respected show. But it won’t remain that way if it expects viewers to believe that a painfully reclusive man would parade his controversial mistress in front of several hundred revellers, without anyone stealing a picture.

He’s on the run from the law!

A month after it broke news of Tiger’s extramarital activities, the National Enquirer claimed a further “scoop” with the revelation that the FBI and IRS are considering launching an investigation into his finances. Agents wonder if the golfer’s company or charitable foundation illegally used funds to pay for his girlfriends to travel around the world with him.

Verdict Nothing the Enquirer says about celebs can ever be entirely dismissed. But nor can it be entirely trusted, either.

He’s in the Bahamas!

People magazine reckons Woods spent Christmas cruising the Caribbean aboard Privacy, which it claims left Palm Beach the previous weekend. In support of the theory that he’s in the Bahamas, it claims that the boat has a 12,000-gallon fuel tank which “gives it a range of 4,000 miles”.

Verdict The high seas seem an unlikely place for Woods to vanish since, as Princess Diana showed, yachts are liable to be tracked down. Privacy would also need to make a refuelling stop – a move that would have increased its risk of being spotted.

He’s seeing divorce lawyers!

Mrs Woods might have bought herself a home on a private island in her native Sweden, but she’s been staying instead at a £5,000-a-night ski chalet near Chamonix, where photographers have snapped her sans wedding ring. Friends say she’s using the holiday to “start afresh”.

Verdict Probably true. Divorce is one of precious few news lines where “sources” are supported by photographic evidence.

Who will be in Winner List of 2010? ( I )

Tiger Woods is Playing Now?!

In the United States, opiate addiction has increased dramatically over the last decade mainly due to the rising level of pain killer addiction. Many people are ignorant to the fact that these pain killers are just like heroin.

They contain opioid compounds that can lead to opiate addiction. Of course, you will have to go through all the stages of addiction, which are dependence, tolerance and withdrawal.

Opiate addiction and withdrawal are not something that you would want to experience in your life. The opiate addiction alone will wreak havoc to your life. You will find yourself frantic most of the time especially when you develop dependence and then tolerance and need to increase your dosage.

You will start to use the pain killers for different reasons ranging from simple headaches to stress, and eventually just to avoid the horrible withdrawal symptoms. You will also ruin the trust of everybody around you as you try to deny and hide your opiate addiction.

You might even hit rock bottom when you try to steal your husband’s or wife’s pain medication (or money and things to pawn for money), or lie to get prescriptions from any doctor you know (write fake prescriptions, a federal offense).

Withdrawal is even worse. You will experience runny nose, suicidal thoughts, stomach pain, depression, shaking, horrible cramps, aching bones, restlessness, insomnia (the inability to sleep for days and sometimes weeks), vomiting, loss of appetite and sweating .

The only logical thing to do is seek treatment for your opiate addiction and face your fears.

Treatment by Professionals:

Because opiate addiction and withdrawal can be pretty difficult, checking into a rehab or detox facility is a good idea, and your best chance at a successful recovery. These facilities are fully-equipped to treat people with different addictions.

Standard treatment for opiate addiction and withdrawal may involve medication and behavioral counseling. In any case, this treatment option is best for individuals who have tried quitting on their own or with the help of their friends repeatedly, but have still relapsed.

Because these facilities are private, some people prefer opiate addiction and withdrawal treatment in these places. Without professional treatment, it is very highly unlikely that you will quit on your own.

I know hundreds and hundreds of opiate addicts, and I only know one who quit on his own (with the the help of the drug suboxone).

Treatment by Friends/Family:

For people whose opiate addiction has been detected early on, you can ask assistance from your friend or another family member. They can monitor you as you detox in a room at your own home.

You must explain to your friends what they can expect while you are ridding yourself of these substances. They might hear you cry, shout and beg and they must ignore this. They will only have to make sure that you are fed and given water.

It would also be best that a licensed doctor prescribe you medication that will help you manage your opiate withdrawal treatment. Your friend can give you these medications and report your progress to your doctor.

I don’t recommend this method, but it has been successful for some people, very few though.

Seeking treatment for your opiate addiction and withdrawal is not as easy as it may seem since there is always the issue of control. After treatment you will have to make sure that you curb your urges and stay sober.

A support group can help you accomplish this and you can even provide others with inspiration. As always, you must be strong-willed and committed to getting better in order to beat this opiate addiction.

For those of you who don’t know, it is much much harder to to successfully rid this disease than you expect.

If your loved one is suffering from alcoholism, you may feel like you are alone, like your loved one is a completely different person when they’re drinking, and your relationship has been strained so much it might break if they don’t seek help.  Getting help for your loved one may seem difficult, but you don’t have to do it alone.

One way to get your loved one to get help is to coordinate with your family and friends so they are aware of the problem if they aren’t already and so they can help you and your loved one.  Your friends and family can help you by providing someone to talk to when you don’t know what to do, or they can talk to your loved either one on one or by having an intervention.  While it may be difficult to talk about your loved one’s alcohol problem, having the support of friends and family can make a big difference.

While your friends and family will pay a roll in getting help for your loved one, your loved one is going to need professional help to deal with his or her alcoholism.  Your loved one is going to need counseling, behavioral therapy and other help they can only get through an Alcohol Rehabilitation center.  It may be scary to have your loved one enroll in an inpatient or residential program, but it is the best way to deal with alcoholism.  Inpatient and residential programs will take your loved one into a controlled environment where they can deal with their alcoholism head on without having to worry about the stress and triggers for their behavior life throws at them.  Another reason why inpatient and residential programs are so successful is that they remove alcoholics from places where they will have access to alcohol and give them the coping skills they need to avoid alcohol before it becomes a temptation to them.

Your loved one may fight you and resent that you want them to seek treatment, but it is important to remember that it is only their denial talking.  Once your loved one goes through treatment successfully, they will realize that you only want what is best for them and they will appreciate the new lease on life that you have helped them receive.

Zach Samuels has just published a rather disturbing book Confessions Of A Crack Head about his life as a drug user. I work with the homeless and a good proportion of my clients have addiction problems, so this book was one that I could definitely relate to. Zach (not his real name) agreed to sit down and give a short interview.

My normal style is to begin an interview with a biographical question, you know the sort of thing, ‘tell us a little about yourself.’ Obviously that wasn’t going to work, he writes under a pen name and has changed all the names and places. Instead I decided to find out his motivation behind the book, and where the idea came from.

Zach: About two years ago I was at a birthday party for my sister and my mom and my cousin from Toronto, who is an actor/writer/director, was there. I started telling him some of my story and he got really interested in making it a play and told me to just start writing. So I did and the words just flowed. Soon it turned into a book. I really don’t care too much about fame or fortune; if I help a few people by telling my story I’ll be happy.

One of the observations I have made in the 6 years I have spent working with people who have addictions is that they age really fast, in real years they may be 25, but they look more like 75. Bad skin, no teeth, thin like an escapee from a Nazi concentration camp, and health issues beyond comprehension. As one sage person told me ‘There are no old Crack Heads,’ they have a career potential of an average NFL player a few seasons, and they are done. Zach seems to have fared better than most.

Zach: I used crack for about 9 years and then a couple more after stopping for 12 years. My breathing isn’t very good anymore, I cough a lot and I have to use a puffer now. That’s the only damage I’m aware of.

I live in Calgary, it is a city of just over one million people. It used to be a very friendly place. Over the past few years there has been a huge increase in street gangs, violence, and drugs. Crack being very prevalent. Hardly a day goes by without some mention in the local press about violence and drugs, is there any kind of solution?

Zach: I think education is the best prevention. I used to go to schools and tell my story so that kids would know where to get help if they got into trouble. I think it should be a big part of the curriculum in high schools.

I am not so sure I am in total agreement with this answer, yes, it is important to educate, but it is equally important to remove the dealers, the runners, and the cooks, from the picture. It is a rare day that I do not walk by a group smoking Crack or doing a joint, yet the police seem to ignore it. Unless there are guns or knives and a whole lot of blood involved, they prefer to look the other way. Too much paperwork involved? Too overfilled jails? Too much aggravation, to just watch while a Judge lets them out again? I don’t know the answer, I only see the problem.

There is a school of thought among the pot smokers that pot should be legal, it does not lead people to stronger drugs. My thoughts on this are divided, for some people pot is enough, I know people that have smoked for years, and have never been tempted to try anything else. I also believe that there are people that for whatever reason are compelled to move on to other drugs. This leads to the idea, can an addict move back down the ladder? From Crack to let’s say Pot?

Zach: It’s my opinion that if you’re an addict you have to stay off all drugs and alcohol in order to recover. Substituting with alcohol or pot will just get you hooked on that or lead you back to your drug of choice.

It is said, once an addict always an addict, do you think controlling addiction becomes easier over time? My wife used to smoke cigarettes, she gave up 7 years ago, but she still has the occasional craving. Does time temper the urges?

Zach: The simple answer is no. The nature of the disease of addiction is that we have an allergy which means as soon as we put a substance into our body we develop a craving which demands more and we can’t stop. That never changes so the answer is complete abstinence.

I know that addiction has become a part of government funding, but I often wonder if there is enough funding, or if this is just a sop to look like they care, while basically ignoring the problem. Spending $100,000 for a drug rehab program makes for a good ‘sound bite’ but when you consider the fact that it is probably costing them millions to just repair the pot holes on main street, you have to wonder.

Zach: I believe the government is already doing a lot at the rehab level. In my city they are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into a new rehab and I think the trend is nation wide which is great.

I still remain skeptical. Little money is ever given freely in the area of mental health, and I don’t think Alberta is unique in this trait. If you are missing a limb, sure you are disabled, and the money comes easy, if there is a mental health issue, all bets are off!

The one thing that I am certain about, is that Zach’s support system is outside of the mainstream government funded one.

I wish Zach all the best in his conquest over Crack, and hope that others will learn the lessons from reading his book, rather than by personal experience.

FOREWARD
The corporate media harbors hundreds of CIA propagandists and fawning loyalists who find revelations concerning domestic political assassinations inconvenient and stroll by with little comment. The agency and organized crime have, for over thirty years, engaged in a program to silence popular musicians whose influence subverts the cynical thought control tactics of American government and media.

This book is an attempt to return that evidence to the historical record.

Assassination Politics of the Vietnam War period.

Former CIA Richard Ober, director of OPERATION CHAOS…
the most expansive domestic surveillance and covert ops net-work in America’s history. The intelligence sectors response to the anti-war and civil rights movements, ran covert assassinations programs as well.
The Nixon administration rose on a foundation of political murder.
The C.I.A. had assembled a thick concordia of lethal methods.
The project began with an anonymous , undated memo on assassination by “natural cause.” Knock off key people the heavily censored document specified, ” how to knock off key guys, natural causes, a declassified memo..

CHAPTER 1

In 1967 a subversive form of music melded with politics in San Francisco.
Thus, destabilization tactics were summarized in a leaked memo, excerpt:
“show them as depraved” call attention to their habits, and every possible embarrassment.
Send articles to the newspaper showing their depravity.
Use misinformation to confuse and corrupt.
Provoke target groups into rivalries that might result in death.”

For the first time since it’s creation the warfare state erected by the Dulles brothers, Hoover, MacArthur, Kissinger, Nixon, etc. was threatened by an increasingly militant segment of society.
The FBI rose to the challenge.
On July 30, 1994, Intelligence files on Leonard Bernstein reveal the bureau spent countless hours examining his links with associations deemed communist to subversive.
FBI agent Jane Moore said the FBI saw the strength and power of the idea of socialism, realized it represented a very real danger to our profit-motivated corporate state and had declared total covert war against not only the denim clad revolutionaries but all progressive forces
The bureaus tactic was to cut them down or burn them out before they realized their potential.
At the federal level, the CIA. was already pursuing similar objectives under code name Operation Chaos.
Targets of Chaos
Blank Panther Movement (Geronimo Pratt, jailed for 27 yrs. for murders he did not commit. He was also a target of COINTELPRO, the FBI “counter-surveillance program)
Politically active hippies were also targets.
Many underground papers were put out of business when they were abandoned by advertisers who had been pressured by the FBI.
From 1967 to 1972 the operation compiled 13,000 files, which concerned 300,000 individuals and organizations.
The CIA directorate of operations created an index of 7 million names.

CHAPTER 2

THE MACHINE CIA AND MOB INFLUENCES ON THE ROCK INDUSTRY….

The mafia was to be enlisted for the covert war against the counter-culture. In the mid-60′s CHAOS officials and the mob both eyed the rise of political rock music. The CIA saw them as long haired communists screaming for revolution and the end to the Vietnam War. The mafia wanted more constrictive financial control over the recording industry. Top 40, the reigning broadcast format in America owes its very existence to the CIA and mafia combo. Drugs would enter the equation, plus youth and LSD with the politics of heroin and LSD drugs were only one contribution the agency has made to the American culture.

The National Security Council was patterned after Hitler’s security council , and its jurisdiction was to oversee the CIA by dictate of the NSA of 1947.

CHAPTER 3
PARAPOLITICAL STARS IN THE DOPE SHOW

Books were burned, book stores closed down, offices and social centers were broken into, artists, writers, musicians and countless hippies got dragged into court., to answer trumped up charges of corruption, obscenity, drug-abuse, and anything that might silence their voices. LSD appeared on the streets, as if on cue to destroy student descent. More potent drugs used in federally sponsored behavior modification studies (translates mind-control) also found their way to society at large. STP created by Dow-Chemical Co. in 1964 was considered incapacitating agent by the CIA Emergency wards was choked in San Francisco with freaking bohemians. PCP an animal tranquilizer, also fed to the hippies by the CIA. The Mob opened mass production labs and a meticulously organized network of traffickers to move black market drugs..

A CIA agent who claims to have infiltrated the covert LSD network, provided a clue when he referred to Height-Asbury as a human guinea pig farm. A dozen years earlier in the same city , George Hunter White and his CIA colleagues had set up a “safe house” and began testing hallucinogenic drugs on unwitting citizens. Now suddenly there was a neighborhood packed with young people who were ready and willing to gobble experimental chemicals. Charles Manson and Timothy Leary arrived in San Francisco and each had a keen interest in mind-control.

Dulles mentioned in his memo that the agency was testing drugs on groups of people. CIA personnel mingled with the drug dealers.. Monitoring stations were set up, among them was Louis J West, Jack Ruby’s shrink, West oversaw Dr Jose Delgado, author of Physical Control of the Mind and Ross Addey, a veteran of operation Paperclip (Nazi’s entry into CIA and NASA and else where), Dr. Margaret Singer of the CIA created False Memory Syndrome. All participated in the study of LSD as a politically destabilizing weapon. One CIA memo named the drug as a potential new agent for unconscious warfare. In 1967 as CHAOS was launched by CIA White House. Timothy Leary, tossed out of the army for erratic behavior, left experimenting with LSD on prisoners in N.Y. for the CIA, and donned the robes of the designated LSD media prelate. He later admitted to knowing at the time that some powerful people in Washington have sponsored this drug research. Leary was constantly surrounded by ops of intelligent agents.

CHAPTER 4
The death of Cass Elliot (of the Mamas and the Papas)and other restless youth

According to Mae Brussell, researcher, in 1968 orders went out to proceed to neutralize segments of society. including those restless youth. By 1969 the SSS (Special Services Section of the FBI), combined with the Justice department and with the CIA operation Chaos.

Thus. Manson Murders, etc. Manson joined the Process church, a Satanist church , who also worshipped Lucifer and Jehovah. It was (is) big in Hollywood at the time. (Manson clearly a mind-controlled dupe).

One FBI report on Cass Elliot marked urgent states she attended a fund raiser in Hollywood , for Peace and Justice. Cass had political ambitions and wanted to be a senator, maybe, in 20 yrs or so. An underground paper called The Realist suggested Cass was the target of political foul play. The editor Paul Krassner said, “I believe she might have been killed. She knew a lot about the incredible criminal links between Hollywood and Washington and Las Vegas.

CHAPTER 5
THE MURDER IN THE HOUSE OF POOH BRIAN JONES OF THE ROLLING STONES.

The fusion of music and politics made the stones an enemy of the state. There were infiltrators and drug set-ups and busts thus, Jagger said ” This is a protest against the system, war stems from power-mad politicians and patriots, we must end all these mindless men from seats of power, and replace them with real people, people of compassion.” The stones were stalked harassed and getting paranoid.

An odd construction crew came to restore the house of Brian Jones, the former cottage of AA Milne, author of Pooh books. They muscled their way into his private life, and had a weird hold over Brian. One worker, Thorogood, made a death bed confession, that he had drowned Wilson The tell-tale signs of cover-up by authorities are unmistakable. He was off drugs at the time. his death was not caused by a life of abuse as was claimed, he was murdered.

CHAPTER 6
THE END OF ROCK FESTIVALS

Five Months later, a music festival happened near San Francisco, and became murderous. The band would be forever tainted by the surreal violence..

Editor of Rolling Stone, Jan Wenner, put the Rolling Stones Band in touch with Melvin Belli, attorney of California well-heeled conservative base, whose eulogy at his funeral was, “a man of law against the CHAOS of life, a man of CHAOS against the law of life.” He was one of CIA’s most trusted court room wonders. Belli chose the Altamount for the Stones concert. It had all the charm of a grave yard, and not fit to draw 300,000 people.! Ralph Sonny Barger of the Hells Angels was hired to keep the peace, (an informant hit-man, who was hired by feds to kill labor activist Cesar Chavez, but was arrested instead on an old charge.) Hells Angels are represented in 18 countries now, largest crime family export. Who in 1969 suspected the Hells Angels was a death squad in employ of the political agencies? (a refreshing break from the status quo?)

At the Stone’s concert the Hells Angels beat up on the youth to excited to see Jagger and Leary arrive, an 18 year old girl was stabbed to death for allegedly having a gun, by the Hells Angels. There ended up 3 dead and many wounded..

A CANCER WAS PLANTED AND GROWING IN THE COUNTER-CULTURE

CHAPTER 7
JIMI HENDRIX POLITICAL HARASSMENT AND MURDER.

He didn’t die from a drug overdose, he was not an out of control dope fiend. He was not a junkie.

FBI COUNTELPRO was out to do more than prevent a communist menace, from overtaking the U.S.! (or to control black power movement). It was out to obliterate its opposition and ruin the representatives of the people involved in the anti-war movement, Civil Rights Movement, and the rock revolution.

Hendrix manager, Mike Jeffery, by his own admission was an intelligence agent. He frequently boasted he had powerful underworld connections. There were many mafia managed “acts”. The CIA/Mafia connection had exercised considerable influence in the music industry for decades. Hendrix wanted out of the contract. He felt he was under surveillance and felt more and more unsafe in New York, his former safe haven. His manager, thus, might have created a Toronto arrest, to silence Jimi. He preferred him to be isolated. He had always been a trusting and open person before, and now he didn’t know who to trust.

He was getting 10 grand for a 50 grand concert. Hendrix friends said Jeffrey’s would get more money from a dead Hendrix than a living one. There was also a possible million dollar insurance policy in Jeffrey’s name.

Was Hendrix murdered? The official cause of death was asphyxiation caused by vomit? The pathologist report left the cause of death open. Monica Danneman (investigator), had long insisted Hendrix was murdered. At the time of her own death, she had brought media attention to the case in a letter and highly publicized court battle. Monica’s body was found in a fume-filled car near her home, in south England. It was called a suicide.

She had a lot of death threats, and people who knew her said “she didn’t believe in the concept of suicide”

CHAPTER 8
Death of Jim Morrison, lead singer of the doors.

Two years after the death of Brian Jones, Jim Morrison’s body was found in a bath-tub in his flat in Paris. Death was attributed to natural causes, possibly heart failure. Morrison’s political outbursts attracted the FBI. He had said, ” I like the idea about the breaking away or over-throw of the established order.” In another interview Manzerek (of the Doors) considered possible motives for the elimination of the Anarchistic Lizard King ” they were going to stop all rock and roll by stopping the Doors. He was considered the most dangerous because he was saying . “We want the world and we want it NOW.”

FBI harassment rendered Morrison so anxiety ridden that he had an ulcer by mid-twenties. Paranoia struck deep and it was thought he was a marked man. Bob Seymore wrote a book re: Jim called The End and conceded” you could say the CIA and the other intelligence agencies may have had a hand in the deaths of Hendrix, Joplin and Morrison etc., simply because they were the leaders of the generation of the 60′s.

A book ” The Bank of America in Louisiana” appeared in 1975, after his death, supposedly written by Morrison. Some say he survived Paris and lived a life free from celebrity and the FBI. A James Douglas Morrison, claimed to be operating as an intelligence agent for a number of groups including the CIA and Interpol, and also had connections with various occult groups. This JM2 also claims to be the dead rock star. There are stacks of official looking document, and letters between the agencies, CNN, NBC, and JM2. This claim was made by researcher Thomas Lyttle who claims to have seen what looks like authentic documents. There seems to be hundreds if not thousands of miscellaneous files under the name. No autopsy was performed after his death, a probable violation of French law. Pamela Courson, who was with him at the time, died later of an overdose that some said was a “Hot Shot” or poisoned opiate.

CHAPTER 9
JOAN BAEZ PHIL OCHS

Joan Baez survived the chaos backlash, she fully understood that political assassination could be her reward for openly castigating military-industrial masters of war. Her close friend Martin Luther King Jr., the worlds most honored civil rights leader told her and a group of activists before delivering his famed speech how the police had dumped him in the hole and it was black and he couldn’t see. They shoved food in the room but he wouldn’t eat it for fear it was poisoned starving and afraid he got on his knees and prayed and when he got up he said it didn’t matter anymore.

Kings entourage hid their pain when they knew what he meant. We knew he was going to die, and he was ready to die, and he was ready to make a commitment to Vietnam etc. He said, “I have been to the mountaintop and I have seen the Promised Land and it doesn’t matter anymore.”

Joan Baez wrote a memoir, And a Voice to Sing With, (1987) of her childhood and her father as a bright young Stanford scientist “Albert Baez recognized the danger of the unleashed atom even in the early days” He took a job at Cornell University in Ithica, New York (Cornell is the base of CIA Mind Control experiments and Joan is a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control experimentation, according to letters she has written to researchers and other survivors), a common cover for trauma-based-mind-control programming. She has a song about it

”I am paying for protection, Smoking out the truth…chasing recollections…nailing down the roof”

Baez entertained no illusions about the CIA, and promoted State of Siege, film she saw as exposing the corrupt element of AID (Agency for International Development, overseas), which funded the teaching of techniques of torture tactics in Latin America. We solicited signatures against the use of torture. Torture was made more prevalent than it had been since the Middle Ages, thus the danger was its common use as government policy. The hands of the US government were far from clean.

Joan did years of intensive therapy to confront her inner demons ,fears, insomnia, panic attacks, phobias, anxieties, etc. Therapists kept Joan glued together, to get me to the next gig, she said.

Joan’s father was invited to become the head of Operations at Cornell, which would bring him in contact with CIA Human Ecology Foundation, (re: Academic Mind Control Studies) behind the fences of the Ivy League campuses across the country. Joan said it was classified. She was not buried by Chaos, but she lived under its intolerant eye and it could silence her. An example is a mistranslation in Japanese re her comments on Vietnam and Nagasaki. The interpreter was threatened and complied. A year later sale of her records were banned from all Army PXs and when she denounced the draft on the Smother‘s Brothers Hour, she was censored by CBS, her comments cut, and CBS cancelled the Brothers soon after. The same year her then David Harris was sentenced to three years for draft evasion.

Civil rights activists were falsely linked to Communist organizations. A common smear tactic.

JOAN BAEZ AND BOB DYLAN
MIMI FARINA AND RICHARD FARINA

In 1961 Joan Baez met Bob Dylan. Whose songs had such stark political flavor. Bob nearly died in 1966 after a motorcycle accident. Joan’s brother-in-law Richard Farina did die a few months later in a motorcycle accident. It was suspicious and happened on his wife Mimi Farina birthday. He was on his way back from a promotional party for his book “Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up”. Before his death he had been producing an album to be performed by Joan, but it got shelved.

Mimi Farina, sister of Joan, is an equally talented and politically active woman who sings in prisons and goes out hands on to the poor, last I heard, and I believe Joan’s heart is also with the poor folk (My Note)

After Dylan’s accident he went thru a political change . He dropped the broadside lyrics grating on the nerves of the establishment. Mark Edmundson wrote: He wasn’t ruined by drugs. His work combines art and politics and the harshest truth about the world. He is a visionary skeptic ,he loves the promise of America and yet is disgusted by much of its reality.

His songs tell about the cane murder of black servant Hattie Carroll, the death of boxer Davie Moore, the unbroken chains of injustice. They go to the heart of the decades most recurring preoccupation ,that in a time of irreversible technical progress , moral civilization has pathetically faltered, that no matter how much international attention is focused on the macro-cosmic affairs, the plight of the individual must be considered.

Five years after the accident he wrote “George Jackson”, a fiercely driven ballad about the Black Panther leader ” “George Jackson” who was consiciously murdered by a prison guard.

PHIL OCHS ( THE OUT LAW AND HIS BRAIN) MIND CONTRO AND MPD

“U.S. agents were able to destroy any persons reputation by inducing hysteria or excessive emotional responses, temporary or permanent insanity, suggest or encourage suicide , erase memory , invent double or triple personalities, inside ones mind.”
—quote by the late Mae Brussells Operation Chaos investigator etc.

Ochs was a close chum of Bob Dylan , and thought Bob was the greatest poet ever. Ochs ,Bob, and Farina set out on the Folk minstrels path in the village in the early 1960′s. Together with others they dragged folk music away from the migration camps and union halls into direct confrontation with the Eisenhower’s looming military-industrial complex. Ochs denounced the American politics in the “Cops of the world”. song

” and when we’ve butchered your sons boys, have a stick of gum boys, we own half the world….”OH CAN YOU SEE”? AND THE NAME OF OUR PROFITS IS DEMOCRACY.

He was the ultimate dissident song quote” the comic and the beauty queen are dancing on the stage .The raw recruits are lining up like coffins in a cage.” “Oh we are fighting in a war we lost before the war began”

Not long before he died, one night after too many drinks, he drew down the CIA Director Wm. Colby, director of the murderous Phoenix Project in Vietnam. He claimed he put a contract out on his life for 100,000 dollars. “I told Colby he’s got a half of year to live or get out of Vietnam or he is dead. They can kill me but he is dead” he said.( He as well was certain that Gloria Steinem, editor of Ms. magazine and famous feminist is a CIA agent) Ochs was founder of the Yippee party, sang with protesters, and appeared as a witness for the trail of the Chicago Seven. His lyrics were considered so inflammatory that he was banned from the air-waves. The FBI did not refrain form amassing a huge file on him, and the feeling that he was never alone unnerved him. He wrote ” take everything I own, take the tap from my phone, and leave my life alone, My life alone! He was tarred as a communist and a threat to national security. His friends said Ochs was convinced he would be assassinated. He was driven to drink by the radio black-listing his music and the ongoing surveillance and harassments and his nerve gave out. He lived in a perpetual state of paranoia His vocal cords were crushed by thugs.

He developed a right wing pseudo personality called John Train who he wrote about
( Beth’s note: Who created John Train? Was he like his good friend Joan Baez, a mind-controlled MPD(DID), from abuse and experimentation? On the first day of summer ,1975,” Phil Ochs “was murdered in the Chelsea Hotel by John Train, Ochs said in a taped interview. “for the good of societies public and “secret,” he needed to be gotten rid of.” He also made reference to his Pseudo personality in song fragments in an album never recorded re: “Phil Ochs checked into the Chelse a Hotel, there was blood on his clothes, Train Train Train, the outlaw and his brain. (my note: I have read accounts of cloning since the 50′s. Lots of hi-tech knowledge kept secret, including in Jim Keith’s book “Secret and Suppressed”).

Ochs actually now believed he was working for the CIA., writes biographer Marc Elliot.( Ochs also referred to N.Y. Cornell Hospital in mysterious lists) “Train hinted that if Ochs had been a commercial success “they”(CIA) would have killed his host personality.. ” Colby and Co. would have been more than happy to put a slug thru his head at that point, “said Train, the alternate personality. Ochs committed suicide on April 9, 1976, by hanging. This was the same year of the book ” the Control of Candy Jones” by Donald Bain., ( a study of CIA mind control experimentation, Candy was also an MPD, created personalities, who carried out covert assignments , a marionette with an inner Nazi personality. She worked without her knowledge as a CIA op. for 12 years. Her final post-hypnotic command was suicide, which was intervened by her husband, talk show host John Nebel. ( the book is out of print, I have a copy) It is very probable that “John Train” was programmed to kill Philip Ochs the host personality.

Another musician with repressed memory of child-hood trauma was Peter Townsend (“Who” guitarist). In 1999 it occurred to him that certain phrases from rock opera “TOMMY” were not fiction but his life. He filled in the blanks from his childhood amnesia.

CHAPTER 10
WHO KILLED THE KENNEDYS AND SAL MINEO (REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE)

Actor Sal Mineo was stabbed to death in a parking lot after signing on to play Sirhan Sirhan in an upcoming movie regarding JFK. (CIA assassination and post-hypnotic programming were the major themes of the movie.) Elliot Mintz talk show host for ABC, later Bob Dylan and the Lennon’s publicist was buried in research with Mineo, regarding JFK killing. They became convinced Sirhan was innocent. The movie production disagreed and Mineo pulled out of the picture. After he was killed the media revealed in his secret life of bi-sexuality, and the murder was taken as homophobia. Gay Bars were closing in fear, and Hollywood stars took refuge behind locked doors.

Michael Ruppert a former LAPD officer left the department to expose his CIA trained colleagues. He claims “Sirhan was hypno-programmed using hypnosis, drugs and torture by Rev. Jerry Owen and CIA Mind-Control Specialist Wm. Bryan at the stable where he worked months before the shooting. The LAPD concealed evidence implicating the CIA in shooting. The channels of the intelligence world swarmed with crooks and killers.

Conservative Evangelist Billy Graham was Presidents Nixon’s celebrated “spiritual advisor”. Then there was LA’s gangster corrupt public servant and wealthy gambling czar Mickey Cohen.(who “claimed “to be a friend of Sal Mineo) The former hit-man Cohen contacted the press after Mineos death t o boost that he was his pal. Cohen was also chummy with Nixon, and his entourage. In 1968, Cohen was coined the godfather of the West Coast Mafia gambling ops. When Cohen was close to death he opened up to investigative reporter Chuck Ashman, and he said, “Mickey Cohen told me the tale of his being paid off to fake a conversion and dose of Christianity for Billy Grahams N.Y. crusade. Two of Graham’s staff had passed more than 10,000 dollars to Mickey and his family.” We found the dates and the amounts and even the checks” Cashmon said.

Cohen was the first bridge linking the killers of Robert Kennedy and Sal Mineo. He was on friendly terms with Carlos Marcellos, mob boss, who ran with David Ferrie, CIA corrupt ops., who was investigated by Jim Garrison in the connection of killing of JFK. Cohen was also a chum with Jack Ruby. Cohen was also a friend of Melvin Belli, Jack Ruby’s defense attorney. He also controlled the Santa Anita race-track where Sirhan was employed. Mickey Cohen’s circle of friends and his appearance in the limelight after the Mineo killing begs question on Hollywood power brokers. Sirhan and Cohen were close to Desi Arnez, (Producer) of I Love Lucy .Arnez was an anti Castro Cuban exile leader. In 1966 Sirhan wrote in his notebook that he landed a job at the stables Corona Breeding Farm co-owned by Desi Arnez, Buddy Ebsen, Dale Robertson, ultra conservatives, and TV personalities were well acquainted with Sirhan. Sirhan was known as a fervent anti-communist. Attorney, Russell Parsons, Sirhan’s attorney, showed no effort to make known that Sirhan was in the wrong position to kill senator Kennedy, he was shot from behind and Sirhan stood in front of Kennedy.

CHAPTER 11
PROJECT WALRUS..JOHN LENNON..

Mark-David Chapman chose to plead not guilty due to following the direction of his voices.. His attorney J. .Marks, punctuated the plea “by reason of insanity”. Chapman testified “I can hear their thoughts, I can hear them talking, but not from the outside, from the inside” Not one of the three psychiatrists at the trial explored the possibility of Mind-Control. In 1977 Chapman lost his fundamentalist religion and became a Satanist..

At 19, 1n 1975,Chapman signed onto the YMCA,(international camp counselor program) and was sent to Beirut where he allegedly received instructions in lethal arts at the CIA training camp school of terror. (there was a known “experiment in Mind Control unit” for the army in Lebanon.). In 1980 he surfaced in New York, and mailed a letter to an Italian address. The Dakota (residence of the Lennon’s) was given as a return address. There was a reference to his” mission ” in N.Y.. It was returned to New York, the address not found in Italy, where it sat for three years in the dead letter bin, and finally delivered to the Dakota. Yoko Ono glanced at the letter and dropped it in her deranged file. In 1983, head of security, Mahoney, found the letter. This was evidence of premeditated murder and conspiracy. The letter vanished and reappeared slightly altered, the post-date now was 1981. The “mission” statement was missing…

Elliot Mintz, friend of Sal Mineo ,was instrumental in exposing “Project Walrus” as a conspiracy regarding Lennon. He had been Lennon’s chum too and publicist since 1971 Mintz recalls that some of Yoko body guards were at the time New York Police officers.. It is very difficult for a private citizen to legally possess a weapon in New York. The people who can are off duty officers. It is thus, a common celebrity arrangement. There were many files with missing contents at Yoko’s apt. after Lennon was killed. Listening devices were planted at the Dakota and once swept clean would reappear. There had been numerous attempts on Yoko’s life. One man was arrested at airport who had made a call that he was coming to finish the job and kill Yoko and Sean. There were also calls made to tell her body guards were going to kill her. Sean Lennon said, “I grew up afraid my mother and I were going to be killed”.

After John’s murder the first promoting of Project Walrus was the ruining of his reputation. John had known he was wire-tapped and was paranoid. After Watergate he filed a lawsuit for wiretap and surveillance and made some progress. Justice Dept. never would admit it actually carried out the wiretap and blamed it on other possibilities. After he got his green card he gave up the litigation. Lennon overcame his fear of federal harassment and gave public statements that were anti-republican.

Killing Lennon was only the first step. All that he signified must be defaced. That was the principle objective of Walrus. His diaries were stolen and returned later with extra entries and some entries altered. Fred Seaman wrote a defamatory book on Lennon. Seaman was to be executive of Lennon’s archives, and much was feigned regarding their bond. He told friends he was going to discredit Ono at all costs. The goal was to drive her to a nervous breakdown and discredit her attempt to set straight the public record. The walrus crew anticipated immense profits. Dead Lennon’s money’s The events at the Dakota began to sound like the Movie “Gaslight”..( in which a husband tries to drive his wife crazy by reality distortion) Yoko began sleeping badly. One of Yoko’s assistants, wracked by stress began packing a gun at all times. He said ” you do not know how big this is. The people doing this are too big to fight.” To discredit Lennon and Yoko and the Peace movement was a major part of Operation Walrus. (but it didn’t and IT WILL NOT)

CHAPTER 12
WHAT CHA GONNA DO?..THE DEATHS OF MARLEY AND TOSH.

Quote: “Vampires do not come out to bite your neck anymore, instead they cause something destructive to happen that will spill blood., and those invisible vampires will get their meal ” Peter Tosh.

Peter Tosh , like Marley was a widely influential civil rights agitator, and like other black activists before him he was gunned down. He died in 1987 at age 43. He was upset with the treatment of his people. Tosh went to Trench Town to live with an uncle after the aunt he was living with died. It was there he met the young Bob Marley, and taught him to play guitar. They got together with Bunny Wailer and the trio called themselves the Wailin Wailers. They were drastically underpaid. Record producers are notorious for pocketing money. (dem pirates and dem thieves). Peter Tosh always let his feelings be known. He cared more about principles and morals than popularity and fame. He said “they know I do not support POLITRICKS and games, my duty is to unify the people.” He and Marlew had some wrangling and he left the group, and went on his own. Destabalsation tactics were employed, and political violence and sabotage etc. from the CIA with pernicious attempts to wreck the economy of their country.. The new weapon and the new menace was destabilization..

Bob Marley held onto the Wailer name and took on new members. The peoples National Party asked them to play at Smile Jamaica concert. He agreed.

In Nov. a death squad came to Marley’s home and started shooting. They shot bullets into his manager, and one in his wife’s’ Rita’s head , as she tried to get their 5 children out of the house. They survived. The last bullet creased Marley’s breast below his heart and drilled deep into his arm. Marley would sing “Ambush in the night, all guns aiming at me.” This did not stop them performing at the Smile Jamaica concert.. (“War”) “Until the ignoble and unhappy regimes that now hold our brothers, in Angola, in Mozambique, in subhuman bondage, have been toppled utterly destroyed…everywhere is war……

Carl Colby , son of CIA head Wm. Colby, came to the concert and posed as crew and got back stage where he gave a gift to Marley, a pair of boots. Former black Panther Lee Lew-Lee was close to Marley and he thinks Marley’s cancer started with the boots He claims there was a link of copper wire attached to the boots, which hurt his foot when he tried them on and had to be removed..(it might have been treated chemically with a carcinogenic toxin. Marley later broke his toe and found out it was cancerous, it spread. He did not trust main-stream medicine and continued to perform. He knew by 1977 he was dying and compressed a lifetime of music into a few years

Something of a Caribbean CIA POGROM was underway via Kissinger and Co. There was emphasis on psychological Ops. which became arson, banking assassination disruption of the now Manley’s democratic socialist rule. Political violence was stoked and arsenal of weapons supplied. This was all mostly financed by Hard Drugs, which disrupted the Rasta movement and marijuana. They wanted it legalized. Their chosen weapon in the Rasta Movement was free expression and they were crucified for it. Tosh was busted and beaten almost to death and it made his music more vengeful.. Secret Police and the CIA tailed him thru it all. Grotesque human rights violations were commonplace. Marley found out he had a brain tumor. He sang ” these songs of freedom is all I ever had, emancipate yourself from MENTAL SLAVERY. “He was observed rubbing his forehead and grimacing while performing. One woman explained “Hidden lasers were fixed to spotlights above the stage and burned out his brain” Fellow
Rasta’s heard about an alternative doctor in Jamaica, who advised Marley to talk to a Doctor Josef Issels, a holistic immuno therapist in a Bavarian village. He went. The Dr. said “I hear you are one of the most dangerous black men in the world.” Issels medical career did not hold up under scrutiny, during WW2 he had worked hand in hand with Dr. Mengele (angel of death) in research in Poland, at the Auschwitz camp. The Wailers found this out after his death.

Issels told Bob he could cure him and did sadistic procedures that left him in agony. After visits the Wailor’s said “he is killing Bob” He also cut off his dreadlocks. He was in the hands of the doctor who had been the accomplice of Mengele in horrific Medical experiments against what they considered “sub humans”. His mother said ” he was starving and wasting away , and he would fall into fits of shaking, etc” Marley weighed 82 pounds on the day of his death. May 11, 1980. (HIS MUSIC LIVES ON)

Peter Tosh found the bloodshed and hypocrisy of death squad justice in the Third World unbearable He was obsessed with the hidden evil. By 1987 the year of Tosh murder Jamaica musicians were censored by the prevailing politics. Witnesses and friends insist his murder was a political hit. They were convinced Tosh was killed for his statements on Human Rights, Black liberation and the legalization of Marijuana. Tosh was throwing a small party at home when Mike Robertson, a local radio host answered the door. Leppo Leppan, an old buddy from Trenchtown days stepped in. Behind him were two clean-cut looking strangers, professional hit men, they insisted on talking to Tosh at gunpoint. Shots were fired and three people were dead.

Shortly afterward the N.Y. City apartment of Tosh was entered and burglarized, (such as the aftermath of Hendrix death). Two out of three of the Tosh killers remain at large. One hit man was said to be a policeman, (of course Leppan was convicted.)

Chapter 13 GANG WAR Sons of Chaos.

Rap artist Tupac Shakur was gunned down at a stop-light in Las Vegas in 1996. It will be evident re: the police strategy of disinformation, ignoring of witnesses, and the presence of undercover agents from L.A. and N.Y. at the murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G.

This suggests that both rappers were murdered by hit squads under the sanction of federal officers. Tupac’s father said “It was clear to me form day one that the Las Vegas police never had any interest in solving the case of my sons murder..”.. It was said “ we dealt extensively with COINTELPRO (FBI) issues. We worked around a lot of political prisoners and the black liberation movement over the years. This shaped Tupac into the person he was. The family operated the “Centre for Black Survival! They had a youth group called “The New African Panthers” and Tupac became the chairperson for it.”

The agony of the Rap industry was exacerbated in March 1997 by killing 24 yr. old Brooklyn rap artist Notorious B.I.G. in L.A. This happened after he had attended the annual ‘Soul Train’ Music awards, by an unidentified gunman. Tupacs father said in a letter (excerpt)”we do know that Brother Biggie was a part of an industry that has been under attack from the highest form of government officials.” ” They have targeted Tupac, Sister Souljah, and IceT. Ice Cube, just to name a few. This is reportedly due to the content of the lyrics. “IF” this was the case why would devil-worshippers (music-artists) not be hounded out also?????(They openly worship the devil in a so-called God fearing country.) Their lyrics preach mayhem, destruction. Death to parents, and even government; whereas our rapper loved-ones wanted to explain their pain and identify from where they came, with hopes for a better tomorrow; if all things were fair.

We believe that history has demonstrated that the murders of black people (young and old) who can have a profound impact, those who refuse to bow down, have been targeted by government at its highest level.

What we must understand is that our warriors are needed when it has been proven beyond contradiction that the C.I.A. were principal importers of Crack Cocaine and Cocaine into the ‘HOOD’, with blatantly racist drug laws, to set into motion tactics of genocide to destroy or lock away our brothers and sisters or the rest of their lives.

Pay attention to the game that is being played on/against us! SEARCH FOR TRUTH! Don’t look at who shot them, but why? Don’t be fooled by the media that has never shown real concern for our welfare. DR. MUTULU SHAKUR

Mutulu Shakur’s conviction that SECRET POLICE killed his stepson and Notorious B.I.G. proves to be increasingly feasible.

Chapter 14 FALSE GOD SYNDROME

DEATH OF MICHAEL HUTCHENE

…. 1997—–M. Hutchence was found tethered by his neck to a door frame. He too was an activist, who willed the lion share of his fortune to Amnesty International and the Green Party. He was found at the Ritz-Carleton in Sydney Australia. The media concocted scenes of SM but he was found with a broken hand and lacerations and had taken a bad beaten. His friends said he was not depressed and he was against suicide. There were rumors of the “MOB” involved in his investments possibly unknown to him. He died penniless due to investments and trusts and his family had to fight for his money.

He knew Gianni Versace, famous designer who was gunned down, and was also said to be possibly mafia involved, although he denied it angrily (A dead mourning bird was found by the Versace body, a symbol of a hit-man).

Diana Spencer, the Princess of Wales, and a month before her own death attended the funeral of Versace. As it happened another friend of Hutchence was Dodi Fayed , someone said to have mob links. Dodi’s uncle was arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi of the Iran-Contra Fame.

Dodi and Diana were killed in a car accident four months before Hutchence died.

THE DEEP POLITIICS OF MUSIC

Roger Bunn director of the Music Industry, Human Rights Assoc. (MIHRA), in the U>K> lives in the eye of the corporate music beast. These are excerpts from letters form Bunn:

“Re: M. Hutchene…”so that’s it, huh? Death due to hanging? Sort of unusual that…even for the music industry. Those wonderful featured artist really light up the sky every now and then. Maybe we should consider making the poor darlings an endangered species? When they reach their peak it probably means worth more to the conglomerates dead than live. Think about that next time you go out to buy your conglomerate primitive/folk music, or a well-known movie…. you add strength to the cartel Monopoly. The music industry turns over 120 billion dollars a year. In the music industry there is no such thing as Real Competition”.

FALSE GOD SYNDROME

When artists “usefulness” to a conglomerate is over things can get a little sticky. (End of quote)

A perfect storm of disaster has just occurred in my marriage.

My wife is a bit younger than me (she’s 37), and is EASILY considered the more attractive one of us (and im not ugly by any stretch) – So I’ve always had these insecurities, but they had never even come close to coming true, and we have a 15 year old son. Pretty much a great marriage.

2 Days before this occurred I went off on a business trip meant to last 4 days.

The night before I was scheduled to come home, she tells me she was going to have a girl’s night out (our son and his friend who would spend the night). Which was fine by me, as that had always involved just watching a chick flick with her friends.

This time however unbeknown to me they had decided to go out drinking.

I’m still trying to gather everything that went on but here is so far what I’ve more or less confirmed:

-The group’s 25yr old grad student friend took them to a frat party.

-Binge drinking ensued, and she’s never EVER held her alcohol well.

-She suggested that the people there (30 or so) move the party to a local club 2 miles away, because they’d all get in without much hassle since (my) cousin and (my) close friend both co-own the club.

-When at the club, (supposedly) even heavier drinking continued.

- the bar screen has a the Yankee-Redsox game in extra innings. The guys were all sox fans and decided to propose that if the yankees won, the guys would all strip down, but if the redsox won, the girls would all go topless. The girls agreed.

-The Redsox won the game (4/24/09′s game), and that’s when things really got crazy. Most of the girls out right refused and never meant it seriously anyway. One girl went down to her bra. – My wife was last to go, again making things worse as now more and more of the hundreds (maybe thousands, as its a REALLY big place and the only one near our town)- And she apparently didn’t hesistate to take her shirt off while dancing.

-Apparently everyone then started prodding her to go further and started commenting on the size of her breasts (they are very large, and before this incident used to be on of my favorite features of her), this apparently made her loss all her inhibition and she started dancing like some stripper and threw her bra clean off.

-As insane as this all was, apparently that was just the start, as guys tried to put money in her and get close to her and grope her, she apparently fed off the attention and went all the way down down to her thong, and then completely naked while dancing on a table infront of everyone!

She was eventually told to get off the table. She put her underwear back on (no bra at this point as apparently she flung it too far into the mob) and was apparently very heavily gropped throughout all of this by what my estimate was at least 40 different guys, many of which it turns out are actually loose acquaintances of us or our families.

She continued to drink and do all she was dared to do by some of the frat guys, such as hook up with her girlfriends, or take bodyshots.

Eventually she got beyond drunk (guys kept buying her drinks), and told her friends she was going to go to the bathroom. Her friends finally noticed something was wrong when she hadn’t come back in over 20 minutes.

They looked and she wasn’t in the bathroom, but they did notice a strange amount of guys going to a side room. When they got in, she was passed out on the floor, spread out completely naked. The room was filled with at least 8 girls and 20 guys, 3 of which were bouncers, who ALL KNOW OUR SON. 2 of them are older brothers (that she used to babysit) to 2 of his best friends, and the third one is his phys ed teacher and wrestling coach.

She was being groped and fondled all over by several of them and one of them was preparing a condom. Her friends immediately bailed her out (though without any clothing whatsoever, it was all lost), and it remains unclear what occured before they got there. I’ve heard some very disturbing things that i suspect may be true.

One of her friends threw her into a cab and took her home. Apparently she woke up briefly around this time as she got out of the cab infront of our house, – and while still completely naked started making a seen which caused several of the neighbors entire families (2 of which are coworkers, that were some of the people that first informed me what went down) to look out side and see her standing nude. Several of the highschool and college kids that walk around at that time also saw her.

THANKFULLY our son was asleep, and my secretary that was babysitting my son and his friend let my drunken wife in.

She immediately rushed her to the bed and put a sheet on her while she went back to the kitchen to fetch alka seltzer and a bucket.

When she got back 5 minutes later, the nightmare gets worse. My son’s friend had gotten out of bed to go to the bathroom and has was staring at her full bore. The sheet was off my wife (it’s n
The character limit cut off my question.

I still love her dearly, but I am humiliated and embarrassed and angry.

Part of me wants to leave her. Part of me wants to save our marriage even if this involves moving.

I dont know what to do. My heart is in conflict with my mind.
-edit # 2

I am most scared for my son, as I know how cruel highschool kids can be should they decide to reveal what they saw.

Ive already gotten an email with some pictures that are captioned with her full name and the town.

She has never done something like this before, and to my knowledge has always been faithful to the max.

Im getting more and more paranoid that something else happened though.

Thank you to those of you who are giving actual advice.
3rd edit-

When she was confronted she first tried out right denial, but the reason I know so many details is because many people unfortunately took pictures. Hence the email i received. She then tried to say that she didn’t remember, and she is ofcourse using the liquor as an excuse, but she is very apologetic.

I have set up marriage counseling but at this point I’m not even sure If im going to go.

Im again– afraid that no matter what happens our son will get hurt.

And finally, regarding what one very helpful reply said- Yes I am scared something like that did happen. If not penetration, then orally.

I can’t explain how much I love her and how good she’s always been, but I really don’t know anymore guys. Your advice so far has been very helpful though. – thank you.
edit-4

After reading some of the harsher remarks, I guess another thing that is bothering me is this:

I was basically the only person she was ever intimate with. Some people thought she was just a trophy wife at first but we’ve always been so close for such a long time.

I feel as if now that is cheapened with what these others men got to see and do. She was never even remotely like this even when we were dating. Always took it slow, so I feel like she isn’t as exclusive now.

Do you guys think that if I decide to stay with her that I have to move? we’ll be bumping into some of these people a lot. Thanks for the feedback guys. I’m still heart broken.

What is IUI (Intrauterine insemination)?

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is the process of preparing a sperm specimen to concentrate it for the most active motile sperm and placing the washed sperm into the uterus as close as possible to the tubal opening. Intrauterine insemination is often recommended because studies have shown that pregnancy is more likely to occur if timing of exposure to sperm is controlled, and if sperm is placed in higher numbers closer to the egg or eggs.

Who might benefit from insemination?

There are selected groups of patients to whom sperm donation is recommended.

·Men who are unable to ejaculate inside their wife’s vagina for whatever reasons. This is the classical indication. Causes for ejaculation failure include diabetes, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury and retrograde ejaculation, where sperm are released backward into the bladder instead of urethra. Retrograde ejaculation may be due to diabetes, trauma or operation in the bladder neck or a side effect of certain drugs.

·Men with mildly low sperm count, poor quality sperm or antisperm antibodies.

·Men who wish to freeze their sperm for possible future use before vasectomy, chemotherapy or radiotherapy for cancer.

·Women with mild endometriosis.

·Women with cervical mucus hostility or poor cervical mucus.

·Couples with unexplained infertility.

·Some infertility clinics may offer intrauterine insemination of a HIV negative woman with washed and prepared sperm of her HIV positive husband/partner.

When is the best timing for an IUI?

Ideally an IUI should be performed within 6 hours either side of ovulation — for male factor infertility some doctors believe after ovulation is better, otherwise chances of success are higher with insemination before ovulation with the sperm waiting for the egg. When timing is based on an HCG injection, the IUIs are usually done between 24 and 48 hours later. Typical timing would be to have a single IUI at about 36 hours post-hCG, though some do it at 24 hours, and some clinics are reporting better results when doing the IUI at 40-42 hours post-hCG. If two IUIs are scheduled, they are usually spaced at least 12 hours apart between 24 and 48 hours after the hCG. Some reports show no increase in success rates with two IUIs, but others suggest it may increase success as much as 6 percent. Some doctors will base timing of IUI on a natural LH surge. In that case, a single IUI at 36 hours is the norm, but doing them at 24 hours is also pretty common since ovulation may be a bit earlier. When two inseminations are planned, they are usually timed between 12 and 48 hours after the surge is detected. The egg is only viable for a maximum of 24 hours after it is released.

The process of intrauterine insemination:

Insemination is normally carried out when one is nearing the ovulation cycle. Medication is used to stimulate a woman to produce multiple eggs. While the semen is procured from the male who has brought a specimen from home or is made to masturbate in the clinic. The semen has to be produced after 2-5 days of abstaining from ejaculation.

Next the washing of the semen is carried out. Here the sperm is separated from the other fluids and kept as a concentrated component. Sperm washing takes fifteen minutes to an hour depending on the case and the technique used by the clinic.

Now with one component ready, a soft catheter is used to insert the sperm in the cervix of the woman or in the uterine cavity. The woman is required to lie down during this process although the position is not proved to better pregnancy.

With the onset of ovulation, intrauterine insemination has to be conducted within 6 hours. If the male is known to be infertile IUI after ovulation is thought to be purposeful. If it is based on the hCG injection then IUI is done 24 to 48 hours later. Sometimes two IUI can also be conducted. In this case there has to be a break of 12 hours between the first and the second.

What is the success rate of IUI treatment?

The success rate of IUI depends upon several factors. First of all the cause of the infertility problem is important. For example, men with normal sperm counts who are unable to have intercourse have a much higher chance of success than patients who are undergoing IUI for poor sperm counts. In addition, female factors play an important role. If the female is more than 35, the chance of a successful pregnancy is significantly decreased. Generally, the chance of conceiving in one cycle is about 10-15%; and the cumulative conception rate is about 50% over 4 treatment cycles. (Remember, Nature’s efficiency for producing a baby in one month is about 15 to 25 %). However, if IUI is going to work for a couple, it usually does so within 4 treatment cycles. If a pregnancy has not resulted by this time, the chances of IUI working for you are very remote. You have reached the point of diminishing returns, and should stop persisting with IUI and explore the option of IVF.

I suspect she did this because I got the stragest feeling after eating it.
I saw her put something green in it, but she said it was just oregano.
