Say your neighbor is the judge at your cities court. You witness your neighbor do many unlawful things, such as beat up his wife and kids when he’s intoxicated. He drives under the influence, and does many other things that are illegal.

Do you report him to the police? Or report him to the city where he’s employed?

    both, for double measure.

You start by reporting him to the police. If that doesn’t work, go the the District Attorneys office. If you get no luck there, call the Attorney Generals office for your state.

You could probably report him to the police, and his name would show up in the city papers.

He’d lose all credibility and respect from there.

Just make sure you catch him in the act.

Report him to the police. Once there is evidence get a copy of the case file and report him to your state bar association.

The law says when you see a crime committed, call tlhe police, let them take the notes put down the facts, it will catch up to him, unless they are great friends or you live in a small town. Id say call each time you hear yelling, and this is a regular thing at the home and you fear for the kids and wifes safety. Do not say the judge who lives next door, dont say who he is to make it more valid.
