The short version is they were mad at him over losing the lawsuit over the rights to his name and they wanted to show Bret Hart if he didn’t come back for the DVD, they would trash one of their best people so they did it. Most of that DVD was BS as fans who have followed wrestling closely know.
They are begging him to come do the HOF this year. They are under a microscope after the Benoit tragedy and even more Wrestler deaths since: Test, Umaga, etc. And Warrior has adjusted to life after wresting better than any other wrestler. He got out of the business at the right time and now he is financially comfortable with a beautiful family, is still married to his first and only wife, no drug problems, and he still is in great health and even still has a killer physique. Compare that to guys like Jake the Snake or Billy Jack Haynes who’s lives are a total mess, and they are lucky to be alive. Hell, look at all the marriage, family, and financial problems Hulk and Flair have had over the last 3 years!
Anyway, Warrior has a house in Arizona where the HOF is taking place and they still don’t have a headlining main eventer to go in this year. They’ve contacted him, they’ve put him in the WWE opening montage, HHH referred to him in a promo with Shemus, etc. Looks like they are really trying to put him in.
It’s sad,not funny. It’s good that Warrior stood up to Vince and said no.He doesn’t them, and now,Vince knows that.
As for a main event wrestler in the Hall of Fame,Gorgeous George is being inducted.
i agree with chicago knight…first, you publicly bash the man and try to rip apart his character from a narrowminded, one sided point of view, and now you want him in your hall of fame??? If i was warriror, i would have laughed in vinces face and told him to go f*ck himself. what he did to warrior is unforgivable. hell, bret hart is a sellout IMO. him of all people should NOT be standing in a WWE ring. he probably missed the spotlight and needed some cash, so he sold his soul to the devil aka vince mcmahon. (dont believe that self destruction DVD people. i have it. i thought at least some of it is bs myself. there is 2 sides to every story and we havent heard warriors.)
I like Warrior and everything. I have thoughts about his DVD being somewhat BS although I am sure some of it is true. Reading Warriors website and some of the run ins some other people have had on the internet,I can believe that Warrior is a d*ck and off his rocker a little bit. His comeback was a FAIL. Nowhere close to Hogans comeback to the WWE when he faced the Rock.
With that being said….
If I was Warrior, I would tell Vince to kiss my ULTIMATE AS*! You are not going bash me, bring people onto the DVD who hate me to bash me, say I was a flash in the pan, and then turn around to ask me to be in your HOF. Vince would be told to kick rocks and get a gorilla press slam for his troubles. Only way I would consider it, is if Vince went DEEP into his pockets to pay out a nice sum of money, then I might consider it. So Warrior has every right to say hell no to Vince.
They aren’t begging him for the hall of fame, get your facts straight! And no they are not under a microscope!
If you thing Warrior hs adjusted to life after wrestling you don’t have a clue about him!!! No he is not still married to his first and only wife!!! The man has been married twice LOL if you don’t think he has done drugs then you are a moron!!!
LOL you are living in a dream world everything you just said about warrior is fantsy not real. Anyone who legally changes his name to Ultimate Warrior is not playing with a full deck and apparently neither are you
Warrior married Shari Lynn Tyree on October 2, 1982. The couple met in Dallas, Texas at the famous Million Dollar Saloon strip club where Shari was working at the time. They remained together for the majority of Warriors’ WWF career before divorcing on March 22, 1991. Warrior married for the second time in 2000 to Dana. Together they have two daughters: Indiana Marin “Indy” Warrior (born 2000) and Mattigan Twain Warrior (born December 16, 2002).
The WWE probably figures it’s a good marketing strategy to induct the Ultimate Warrior to attract more interest from Old School fans and to improve the WWE’s ratings and popularity.
