She has trouble walking up stairs, getting up from a chair, and getting started walking after standing up.
I first noticed her problem 2.5 yrs. ago. She practically had to crawl upstairs. The 18 mos. ago she broke her rt. shoulder requiring metal socket replacement operation. Her strength and balance got worse. She stopped phy. therapy because it hurt. The she was diagnosed with diabetes 2. All of this has piled on 12 prescription pills known by our family doctor. Can a WebMD medical specialist help us, please?
Here’s the drugs she’s taking: Lotrel, Toprol, Farosemide, Aromasin, Starlix, Temazepan, Lexapro, Fosamax, Allopurinol, Levothyroxine, Baby Asprin, Neurotin

Tell her to see her doctor and SERIOUSLY re-evaluate her drug regimen. Taking 12 prescription drugs at once is enough to confuse ANY physical response.

Absolutely. She most likely has a doctor who doesn’t care or forgot how many pills he/she prescribed her. Why does she need so many anyways?

It definitely could be side effect from medications but she could also have a condition called PAD. Its a disease that the arteries in her legs aren’t getting proper blood flow from blocked arteries and is very serious if not treated. My mother has this problem and almost became paralyzed from it. We had to push her around in wheel chair until I heard about this condition and made doctor run test on her. She did have it and is being treated and now can walk on her own. She still cant go long distance but is alot better. Don’t wait to long it needs to treated if that’s what she has. Its a simple test to see if this is her problem.

First of all, you should see your doctor. Taking 12 dugs is dangerous to begin with as it can cause various problems. Maybe think about changing doctors!!!

The drugs could be side effects or could be interacting with each other. I know of a reputable online discount pharmacy. It is http://www.shop4medsonline.com. This site has information from the US Food and Drug Administration on a consumer safety guide on buying prescription medicine online as well as other tips to consumers who buy health products online. Also on this site is an article from the United States Department of Health and Human Services on what a consumer should know before buying any medical products online. GOOD LUCK!!!

The list of pills you give do not seem to be out of the ordinary but Neurotin does have some of the side effects that you mention.
The fact that your wife suffers from diabetes could also be a problem as uncontrolled diabetes is the blame for alot of damage in a person’s life.
Diabetes can cause poor circulation, slow healing wounds,liver/kidney disease and even blindness.
Stay on top of her treatment for diabetes and as the TV
commericials say. . .Check your sugar and Check it often.
Talk very open with your doctor about these problems before something happens to your wife resulting from a nasty fall.

The 12 perscriptions could be making her have problems but you should get a second option.
