After having multiple negative pregnancy tests, and then missing her period, (now 3.5 weeks late) latest test shows my wife’s pregnant. We identified a few nights (3-5) with multiple drinks 1/2 bottle of wine, etc etc (birthdays, anniv,) as well as going into the jacuzzi 4X. We were careful to test for pregnancy before the outing and thought it was ok.
Could this have an effect on the baby/pregnancy? Hopefully not…
baby and mommy should be fine everybody does stuff before they find out they are pregnant just dont do it now. Congratz on the baby
The baby should be just fine. People drink all the time and not know they are expecting… I was one of them and my son is perfectly healthy. If you have any concerns, you can always call the doctor just to set your mind at ease.
Good luck & CONGRATS!!!
With my first daughter I drank a whole bottle of whiskey to myself the night before I realized I missed my period. We’re talking crawling puking drunk. (Oh, those young and dumb days!) My daughter was fine. She’s 7 now and shows no signs of it effecting her in the least. She’s very smart and perfect in every way. Your baby should be fine. Lots of people do these kinds of things before realizing they are pregnant.
I hada few beers and shots early in my pregnacy, i would say i was five weeks pregnant then. My baby is fine, i just stopped drinking and took care of myself. My friend drank up untill her second trimester, she didnt know she was pregnant by then. But her little girl is three years old and had no sign of disorders, shes healthy! She should be okay, from now on just make sure she eats healthy and take her prenatals.
Many many women drink at the beginning of there pregnancy without knowing they were pregnant and some occasionally after, as long as she stops now the chances are very slim that anything she drank would hurt the baby, some women and doctors still say a few glasses of wine throughout the pregnancy is fine, FAS is more for heavy drinkers.
Your wife is just fine. My dr said that mostly anything like drinking and stuff can’t affect the baby at 4-7 weeks because it is not connected… i am not sure what she meant but it probably had to do with the sac. So from now on be careful but don’t worry. Congrats and Good luck!
