You really need to keep your child away from her. Divorce her, and put him in daycare, or with a family member you can trust. That child could get into her drugs and die, do you understand that? The most important thing is that child.

I'm not sure what you can legally do, being that you still share a home with her (??). I'd seek counsel from a lawyer though. Since you do share a home (??) with her, you run the risk of someone filing a report citing child endangerment/neglect if she's ever alone with him and is high. Then the child can be taken away. (from you as well until you seperate yourself from your wife and then gain custody of him).
Ask a lawyer what your best course of action is. You should be trying to encourage her to seek rehab, if you don't already. If she refuses, you may have a difficult decision on your hands.
I do hope things get better for you.

For the safety of your child maybe you should consider divorce and sole custody of your baby. This suggestion may sound cruel to your wife but what kind of life is your son going to have with a mother who overdoses and is a drug addict?
Providing your son a good stable home environment should be your top priority, even over your marriage vows. Good luck to you.

Contact CPS - Child Protective Services.

My ex got involved with Methaphetamines.
The CPS investigative report was a solid tool in the custody hearing.
No judge wants to take a child away from his/her mother... it's just the way most of them are.

I've raised my son since he was born... but getting actual "legal" custody was very difficult --- but necessary.

Do the right thing for the child. Get CPS involved and you stay out of the way. The only way your child will be safe is by you remaining stable, reliable, and supportive.
And don't think you're bad for turning it (or her) over to the state's authorities for children.
You're doing you're job as a parent to ensure the child's safety!

And, for the love of God, document everything!!!!!!!
It sucks, but it will pay off in the courtroom in a HUGE way.
Plus, it shows your awareness for your child's safety.

And don't argue with your ex. (!) Let CPS handle it.

Good luck my friend..... hang in there.

Check her into a hospital where they supervise the people during their period of detox, your wife is severely addicted to meds and she is addicted to drugs, and she needs to be detoxed, and she needs to stay at a hospital where they supervise people going through this process, it is a long process, but it is the best for everyone involved, including your son.

Check into it and ask your wife's doctor about this program, your wife needs help, she does not know what she is doing and she needs immediate help and she needs to get off of those meds!!!!

I know plenty of people who were severely addicted to meds and they went through this process and they are so much happier now.

Please do this for your wife and for your son!

Well you didn't say if you were still together or not, but since you are still calling her your wife then I would assume you are. My question is, why haven't you gotten her help? Do you still love this woman? If you are at your end, get a lawyer & start gathering proof that she is an unfit mother. Or if you still love her, give her an ultimatum---either the Rx goes or you & the child go.

My first thought is that instead of taking legal action, try to get her help? She's an addict - she needs help.
I'm sorry if this isn't what you were looking for - good luck.

Sadly, that's your best recourse - seeking legal advice. Get a reliable sitter or drop him at relatives until you have everything set up. I am so sorry for your situation, but your son is lucky to have you looking out for him.
