My wife went to a party and got really drunk. She was laughing to loud and being quite obnoxious. Other people were laughing at her.

The next day she thought that she was the life of the party? Do I tell her the truth?

yes…maybe she wont drink like that anymore
    but remember to be sensitive

  • Cathy says:

Yes. Or you could continue to let her be the butt of everyone’s joke. You should videotape her making an ass of herself and show it to her when she’s sober. That should make her think twice about getting hammered.

Of course, as a husband I think its your job to tell your wife the truth & if you care about her you’d want to tell her nicely.

People who drink to the point of drunken foolishness have a PROBLEM and it isn’t with their manners.

Be brutally honest with her, convey your disgust very clearly and tell her that if she drinks like that again, ever again, you are going to go to an Al Anon meeting (support for family of alcoholics) and tell everyone about it. Then, do it.

Of course, if YOU were drinking a lot and she just beat you to drunk, you haven’t got much moral high ground to stand on. Good luck.

Tell her that you are glad she had a good time, but not everyone saw her as the life of the party, rather laughed at her expense!!

There was a Family Guy episode where Peter had the same issue as your wife. i don’t remember what happened, but you may want to check it out.

next time see if you can get her to strip!!

  • ♥A♥ says:

Why be a bad husband? Let her think she’s a great, funny person. IF you tell the truth she’ll get mad.

  • Bert Weidemeier says:

You have to tell her. Tell her nicely so as to not make her feel inferior to anyone, and do it so that she will be more careful the next time and not do it again.

Put it this way, if it was you that got blasted and made a spectacle of yourself, you’d hear about it.
